Dior lambskin is very durable but the calfskin by nature is going to be more durable.

It was about a year and a half ago. As long as they still have the materials, they can do it.

Please listen to your wife and try to get her a regular leather bag in Gold. Because that is a popular request, you may have a harder time getting a gold Birkin. If you want something exotic, get her a watch with Diamonds and an exotic band and the Birkin. If my husband walked in with an Ostrich or Amber Touch, I would not be pleased. I would be touched by the gift, but I would return it. Just being honest.

Oh sorry, just realized the deal is done. I give you props for the kind gesture. My husband already knows never to buy me gifts, just cash now. He has learned after 21 years.

As you mentioned, with the pandemic, I haven't really had many excuses to leave the house and show off any of the new bags I've still been acquiring.. with nothing much else to do, I think my bags and shoes obsessions have gotten worse! But the thing that I love about the Celine - even in the light taupe - is how durable it feels. With its grainy, almost pebbled finish, I definitely don't feel the need to be so paranoid about being mindful of my surroundings like I do with some of my other bags that have much smoother finishes. It took me almost 2 years of lusting after this bag and every time I came across someone's blog article about it, they couldn't stop raving about how it was such a practical bag for everyday use and highlighted the fact that it could take such a heavy beating and still look great. I LOVE this bag and will likely get the gray one eventually, or maybe the luggage bag... decisions decisions! PS - I don't worry too much about resale value because when I have ended up selling pieces, I am not usually in a rush and can wait for the right buyer to come along and be willing to negotiate a fair price for what my bags are worth when factoring the brand, style, upkeep, etc. Good luck in your decision!

I'm searching for a new backpack for college and I've been looking at Saint Laurent's backpacks. I love how their backpacks are classic and simple! I have been trying to look for reviews on youtube to see if it is an ok bag but couldn't find any that were quite useful. I am aware they are technically made for men, but I thought it'd be perfect for my laptop and notebooks! Please let me know if you have a Saint Laurent Backpack, if you'd recommend the bag, and its wear and tear!

I'm hoping they would, though I know in my heart they won't anytime soon. I almost bought the lambskin version before the price increase at Charles de Gaulle Airport last March and I should have but was indecisive about the leather. Then from $3500, the mini went up to $5000 Canadian and now feel it is not as better value as the more spacious mini reissue. I would love to feel the butterflies.... Will have to wait and see and in the meantime will enjoy the mini reissue. it has vintage magic. thanks for sharing your review. Enjoyed it thoroughly and reflects a lot of what I feel about both bags.

That's bizarre how she was so insistent on keeping the original length. Maybe wear it for a month and see if you feel differently then?

I have the small and its pretty small. It fits a short wallet, 2 phone and keys so I wouldnt go for the mini. I think I saw Gucci selling a separate crossbody strap a while back ago. Not sure if they still do. I use the web ribbon to sling in on my shoulders and like the shorter option of doubing up the length or the just slinging it with the single ribbon so its slightly longer.

I like it the best at this time. I have a medium zip wallet (4 card slots), another zip card holder that holds 5 cards, small pouch with 3 card slots, and key pouch. I use this with my key pouch (can also hold cards) and I can easily transition between my medium classics and others. I seldom use my medium wallet which is more for my large bags/totes.

I love exterior card slots and and the exterior front pocket and zippered pocket for extra cards and misc. could fit a receipt or a few coins but would not recommend. Still very versatile in all without being too thick or taking up space

Thank you for your input! I have decided to try to sell the bag to someone who is interested in refurbishing it. I took it out and decided there's no way I would use it again even if I had it refurbished, and the condition of it is too poor for me to find other uses for it.

Agree that reissues don't hold value as well as a classic flap but mini bags do so you probably won't save much if you bought a mini reissue on the preloved market compared to a 225, 226, or 227.

It seems like it’s just at the end and personally it would not bother me.

Love rarely comes to us out of the blue, but this one... came to me like a car crash.
Oh, the beauty of love! I want it, need it, must have it.
But alas, such aspirations are easier sad than done.
I soon realized that this coat was manufactured in 2017, and I am 3 years too late.
Since finding the Bormio coat, I have been profusely searching the internet for something even a tad bit similar, but I've had no luck!

Apparently this is made of Baby Suri Alpaca wool blend of highest quality.
I am willing to go up to 6k on a coat... Any suggestions, help, feedback, input will be appreciated.

I'm a month too late, but do you NEED it to be Alpaca? Max Mara's Manuela coat is a similar design so that could be a good substitute. It's made of camel hair and not alpaca, but it has the similar wave texture.

Hi! Newbie over here. Usually I’m quite good at spotting fakes but this one has me stumped. Seller sold it as authentic and vintage but now I’m thinking its a fake? Anyone else know much about the BB monogram print line? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks so much!

They did and gave me a coupon for 5% off my next purchase on top of it. The seller was apologetic...claimed it was given to her by someone who said it was authentic. I have no reason to believe she is lying about that. So, other than some disappointment, everything is square.
