Update: the SA managed to find a very vague marking that resembles a stamp CP. But that's it. No indication of the year. They are going to consult the technicians.

I just reported an obviously fake puzzle on Ebay. The seller guaranteed authenticity or money back. It was listed for about US$500. So many of the previously sold items from their feedback were also designer bags that would normally sell for thousands pre-loved but theirs sold around a similar price range. In my report to Ebay, there was very limited space that I could type more info but I stated that the serial number indicates that the bag was made in 2004 and the model did not exist then. Well, I just received an automated response from Ebay: We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence.

And at the bottom of the email "Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email."

Oh well, I tried. That was my good deed for the day. Everything is AI now so I guess the scammers win. Good luck to the poor souls who will buy from this seller.

Hello BV enthusiasts. Reviving this older thread because I’m looking for some insight. I have not been a fan of BV until this collection caught my eye recently. I find it very interesting and I do like the color of this bags a lot. However, I am looking for thoughts and experiences with how durable this material is. I am wondering if it is easier to keep clean and color transfer free since it is not leather and in my mind PU is water resistant (please feel free to correct me if this is not the case). I am hoping that people who own bags in this paper-like finish can share their experiences and thoughts on ware and tare of this material. Thank you

I hope my comment is not too late - but I would highly suggest keeping it. I also have a rectangular mini in patent leather with silver hardware. i consider it a classic! it is so wearable, it can easily go from casual (with just jeans and shirt outfits) and formal because of it's shiny leather. But what I like most about it is that when i am wearing an all black outfit (coat or dress), it still stands out. and it's easy to maintain because it is black patent. lighter color patents tend to discolor. i consider it a forever bag. in fact, i changed the strap because the original strap was way too long on me. i used to just tie the strap to shorten it but it takes up space and gets in the way as well. i didn't have the original strap shortened, i just bought a replacement strap. this way, i can always put back the unaltered original strap if i want to (although i don't really plan to do that, but it's good to have that option). ok, i am rambling haha - but yes, i love this bag! keep it and enjoy it!

I personally don't trust preowned items to be authentic and I have my reasons.

If there is a way to check the authenticity by confirming with the SA who sold the bag, I wouldn't buy it. There are super fakes out there and I wouldn't risk getting scammed.

My Blue Indigo K32 from 2015 is in Clemence. It keeps its shape well and is used quite a bit. Tiny bit of slouch but certainly not doing any back bends or any yoga poses.

Hello I also just bought a Gabrielle & I have been using a card holder & zipped cardholder & they both fit just fine! I don’t carry a lot so it leaves room for my keys & phone as well

however I am only carrying the zipped cardholder right now because I have cash other than that I will only be using my cardholder

Wow, the difference in the before and after. It ended up a great deal after being refurbished. The bags looks great now!

Definitely! There some price point out with independent jewelers using Genuine gemstones!

I still love the boy and the chain part of the Dior bag also reminds me of the boy. I'm voting for boy too.

The same thing happened to me with my celine cardholder and I can confirm that this method works! I wrapped it up with paper towels and put it in between heavy textbooks for a few days and it worked like a charm

I'm curious as well. Let us know if you manage to return or exchange it.

A Speciale Commande bag is basically a bespoke, custom designed bag. It is unique and one off. Mine was designed partly by me and made by a craftsperson from the bespoke atelier. Basically Jane Birkin’s bag was an original SC made for and named after her by Hermes, which then became so popular it is now sold worldwide. Generally these projects are not supposed to go on the shelf. Recently all custom projects ranging from yachts to cars, furniture to bags, are now made under Horizon and I was privileged to visit their ateliers in Paris last year. I am currently discussing my next project and for privacy reasons, have declined to post my own bag here. There is a thread on this forum with a wealth of information on this topic. Most flagship stores have an SA who has trained in and liaises for these projects. Hope this helps.

Hey all! So I had a Jumbo Flap in Caviar with SHW and the gusset stitch on the double flap began to unravel. I emailed Chanel and have texted an SA about it they said to bring it in. Today I went to Tyson's Galleria to drop off the bag, had to wait in line which wasn't too long. They devote a single SA to you while you shop. I showed them my bag and they started the repair paperwork. I was so surprised when the SA told me that it was going to be free of charge! Keep in mind I purchased the bag in 2016. But she did say it may take 8-10 weeks due to the current situation. Anyways, it did take awhile for the final receipt / pick-up invoice, which was fine since I was just browsing. Overall, the experience was great and attentive (also lots of hand sanitizers!). I honestly noticed that even though customers have to wait to go in, there was a lot of people in line waiting to go on.

I’d go for that red! It’s such a nice pop of color on just about every outfit.

they didn’t have the 6 motifs sweet bracelet in stock. I tried on the multiple motif( not Sure how many lol) necklace, just wrapped it over my wrist. I’m not too sure, first I think it looks a bit dull. I am not a fan of the hammered gold (I adore the sunray etching on the guilloche tho) Also I am not very into rose gold. I think it blends in my skin too much ( whitegold only comes in pave version, and that’s out of my budget)

I don’t own any Hermes bags but if I did it would be the jypsiere. Personally, I think it’s more aesthetically pleasing than the canvas strapped perforated hermes bag that I see around quite frequently. The jypsiere is a classy and elegant looking bag!
