I used to have luxury items (Hermes, Chanel,Ferragamo, etc.) but I gave them to my sister-in-law because I honestly never felt like myself carrying them and plus I am a human services worker. It is weird counseling someone or visiting someone's home or working with the homeless...someone who is obviously struggling and carrying an Hermes bag. Plus, I have had clients steal from me before. It never got worn on the weekends because I would just carry my simple TJ Maxx crossbody to do errands. I absolutely adore Patricia Nash. I fell in love with her Brailes Satchel line. I was at 42 bags now down to 19. I can't let anymore go. Not adding anymore just enjoy what I have.

Hey I have a big question to everyone who owns luxury and Contemporary bags, are luxury brands really superoír in quality ?

my guess is no, sure it’s something artistic and harder to find someone with that same bag as yours. I think designer bags are like art. Sure they have a certain x thing that draws people to them. But I don’t think it’s truly better quality.
I think a nice bag from a contemporary brand is as good as any from a luxury brand

Does anyone know if you can still get a replacement handle for the Louis Vuitton Babylone? I bought a Mahina noir from a consignment store in beautiful condition but it did not come with that handle, only the longer strap. I want an authentic handle but I’m having difficulty finding one. Does anyone have any recommendations since the bag was discontinued years ago?

Hi all! I have a massive collection of vintage nail polish (regular, non-SOG), and I am moving to Hawaii from US mainland and need to get rid of most of it. Most of them are still in really good shape and are rare, limited edition, discontinued, VHTF and some of the companies are not in business anymore. I can’t mail it to HI because it would have to go by sea, and would be super heavy and probably very expensive. I don’t have a good place to store them but would consider it if it would be worth it to sell them at some point. What would you do? I hate to just donate them all because I know most of them would be cherished by collectors and I’d rather someone enjoy them than have them sit somewhere or get thrown away.

Hi, I trying to decide if I should get what I can afford or what I am dreaming of. Currently, I have a yellow gold vintage alhambra pendant necklace. Should I buy the guilloche earrings (£4550) now or wait for a few years before buying the matching yellow gold diamond earrings (£10800)? Both have the classic alhambra motiff. But, the diamond earrings have a significantly higher price tag. I'm not sure if I want to pay almost double the price for the diamond over the guilloche. At the same time, I wonder if I'll regret buying the guilloche and wish that I've purchased the diamond earrings in the first place. Your expert opinions (and pictures) will be very much welcomed. Looking to upgrade the pouch I use inside my H bags. Currently using a mini Lululemon pouch. It doesn’t look like there is an H option, but looking for any recs. Is this a defective Lady Dior? There are two “extra” threads inside of my small lady dior and I cannot pull them out as they get stuck. I don’t want to be so difficult about this but it’s Dior, shouldn’t their stitching be top of the line and no threads should be hanging around?

A friend of mine shared a story of his coworker being robbed in Madrid. The robbers just wanted her jewelries and she had on two love bracelets too. She implored and begged the robbers because she didn't have the screwdriver with her. They eventually just took her other jewelries. This made me nervous and gave me a different perspective on the Love bangle. Do you guys bring your screwdrivers with you? I don't think i'll be wearing Love bracelets when I travel in the future because I don't want my hands chopped off just because of a bracelet

Would anyone be willing to share photos of their well loved Naoshima mufflers/scarves and info on whether it needs to be babied and dry cleaned?

Am asking as I wandered into the Men’s section at my local store while waiting for my purchases to be wrapped up and fell in love with the muted colours and hand feel of the Naoshima muffler. I’m thinking it feels light enough for use when the air conditioning feels a bit chilly but not cold enough for a cardigan or jacket, or if I happen to be visiting a country during spring/early autumn (I live in a tropical climate). But it also feels so delicate I’m not sure if it needs a lot of care, or should I just learn to embrace the signs of wear.
