I own a 3 pairs of Chanel flats - one brand new from the boutique, 2 preloved.

I noticed one pair, preloved quilted calfskin (classic) has the tied BOW at the front stitched together with black thread - so that it can’t become undone/loose.

I’ve never seen this before (nor do my other pairs have this, here I untie and retie the bow as I want).

Has anyone ever seen this?

I’m not questioning authenticity, maybe someone had it added so it wouldn’t become undone…

When I visited the Dior store to look at a new bag, I mentioned wanting to repair my lady Dior to an SA, he said that I should bring it in before the two year mark, so it's still under warranty, which I did.
When I brought it in, nothing was mentioned of a potential cost.
After a few weeks I receive a message that the atelier has estimated my repairs at such and such sum.

Obviously confused I contact the SA, who tells me that the atelier can decide this, which was not mentioned to me at all.
After speaking to another SA on the phone, they all told me the same thing.
I voiced that I'm not happy with this dishonest communication and now I'm wondering whether this is normal? Any insights/ experiences are appreciated.

Imagine to my surprise… my sparingly used Artois PM (purchased April 30, 2022) with horribly cracked glazing from off and on use in the Summer now requires close to $300 to be fixed. I posted pics in the other Goyard Quality discussion trend.

I discovered these cracks upon close inspection around November/ Thanksgiving and finally sent it in in December after countless back & forth with Goyard customer service.

In total, I probably used the bag less than 20/25 total days in 2022 in the 7-8 months it was in my possession.

How is a brand not willing to stand behind their product like this?

I have never experienced a brand that will not let you purchase if you do not live near a store. They won't ship to you if you have not purchased in the last 2 years. I purchased in 2018 and do not live near a boutique so I cannot go in store and I cannot get a bag shipped. THat just makes no sense. WtF is with designers and how the treat people.

So I'm 46 now with sensitive skin and fine hair which is cut in a bob with paintings since maybe 10 years. I am speaking in public a lot, with many photos and traveling. I work maybe 60+ hours per week. Since I am often in public and many of my employees look at me I feel a bit under pressure to look good.
I know that I look best when I wave my hair with a curling iron and when I wear a full make-up. Since I travel a lot, this means taking all of my make Up and Skin Care and Curling Iron etc. with me. Also it takes a lot of time. I know that some women go to a face care specialist once an month and to the hair stylist every few weeks.

I really don't know how to make time for this. I always feel like the ugly one, when I am on these appointments because my skin itches, my make up doesn't hold up, my hair falls like a balloon without air (exaggerating here but you get what I mean I hope).

My questions are the following:
- How do you travel concerning skincare / Make Up, do you have any special products that work for multiple tasks?
- How do you care for your hair (do you wash and curl it everyday or is there a special secret to make hair look good on day two?)
- How do you look good when having sleep problems in Hotel rooms (which is often the case for me)

Are there any routines for women 45+ with no time?

I don’t have a store near me and am looking to order the hammered or pavé Alhambra online without trying them on first. I’m leaning towards rose gold but am not sure how light VCA’s rose gold formulation is. I’ve been told that rose gold might not suit my pale skin.

Hi everyone! Trying to decide which of these two bracelets I should get.

I like the Lovestruck with the arrow toggle and it looks like a smaller toggle closure with less chance to come undone.

I like the Heart Tag with Diamond but not sure if the diamond is worth the higher price, but am tempted by the extra sparkle.

Planning to wear it with my HardWear link bracelet (medium size), or solo if they don’t work well together. Would love your vote and opinions!

In 2021 I bought my first reg Love. I play around with other bracelet additions and also like to switch them between hands (except for my Love and JUC sm which are always glued to my right hand). I wear them all 24/7.

Days ago, I separated my JUC from Love and moved it to my left stack. I actually like it a lot I will want to keep it this way for some time.



So now, my right is just like 2021’s. And I like it too!

BUT, if on days I want to have double bracelet here, which new bracelet do you think will compliment? I have these thoughts and experiences :

1/ I am hoping for a Cartier too next; but it can sway.
2/ Clash - tried, love the piece and the stacked look a lot but the smallest clash doesn’t flush quite well with my Love (15). I’m quite bothered by that.
3/ I’m impartial to another reg Love bracelet (and with some diamond). May like the perfect flush look but I prefer something easily removed whenever I want to (ok sounds like Love SM fits the bill but I find it underwhelming on me, although I have a small wrist. Maybe you can help me take a look at the pics in my next post? And somehow I do not prefer to pair my pave SM with my Love. I prefer all my thinner bracelets to come together).
4/ Not a fan of Ecrou though I’ve never tried
5/ No VCA/Hermes (kind of strictly lol)
6/ No tennis bracelet
7/ Chaumet BML - another one that I really like (tried the alternating dia) but again, both don’t flush and it seriously crosses my love even with its smallest size.
8/ Bvlgari full pave Serpenti - this one really tops for me as the fit is best (can’t stress enough how comfy it wears and it sits quietly next to Love with zero crossing). But the price point also tops it all yikes. So this is out too of course.
9/ Or I could totally get a jeweller to customise one
10/ The stakeholder gives me a budget; hovering a reg love price. I wonder if it can deviate; I’m working on it

Not in a hurry but this is an overdue gift. I have time to making a wise choice.

With these pointers, can I borrow your recommendations especially there might be other jewelry I have never explored. TIA!

hi folks - wanted some advice please. i got an offer today for a B35 in vert cypress and gold hardware! i've never seen the color in person before. additionally, i have been waiting for a B30 in black or gold, but had told my SA about my love for a bottle green color, probably why she reached out to me. i am a little torn whether to accept or not given its a 35 while i've been waiting for a 30. that being said, i think a 35 could work for me as a work bag as i need to carry a laptop. so overall, torn on size (30 vs 35) and color as i've never seen it before.

does anyone have a bag in vert cypress that you can post a pic of? and any thoughts on my B30 vs 35 conundrum? thanks so much!

I've been trying for some time to buy a black classic rectangular mini flap with silver hardware. I've had the opporutunity to buy one with champagne hardware, which seems more popular, but have been holding out for silver. Does anyone know if silver will be available this season?
I assume so black is not a possibility, but if anyone has any info, please let me know.

I have a question for everyone. Which would you choose the vintage earrings or the bracelet?
I find it so crazy that the earrings are only $150 less than the bracelet. It seems to me like the bracelet would be worth much more.
I purchased the mother of pearl vintage earrings today and fingers crossed the come in tomorrow. When I was online, however, I kept asking myself, should I get the bracelet? I have the sweet MOP and wear it daily (mainly because its impossible to get on once you take it off lol). But I didn't feel like I needed another bracelet and that my stack would look clunky. My ears on the other hand, well those are bare!!! so what better way to accessorize. but seriously how do they cost nearly the same!?!?!

I have been seeing Mecha Mendez bags in my instagram feed starting in 2022. In particular, a bag called the IRUPE XL. The bags are by Argentinian designers and they ship worldwide. At first I was skeptical. I've never purchased a bag outside of the US so I tried to research Youtube, Google, Purseforum and I only found 1 article on Purseforum but it somehow has disappeared. The Purseforum article was just someone asking if anyone had purchased a bag from them and the few replies were no. After stalking their page and seeing some of the review reels of supposed customers from the US, I decided to take a chance.. I purchased it on 01/02/23. It shipped from Argentina on 01/13/23 and arrived at my home on 02/23/23. The shipping delay was more Fedex problem due to weather when it arrived in Brazil. Needless to say, I was not disappointed when I finally received it. The bag is simple but unique and the leather seems to be good quality. Its thick but supple and will likely get better with age). So, here are some pictures in case anyone else is searching for more information about this brand. Something tells me, they are going to blow up. I figured I would snag one before their prices increase. For some reason this bag reminds me of Loewe's style, even though it doesn't look anything like Loewe. But Loewe is made in Spain and Argentina has a large Spaniard population so maybe that's why. My bag is the first one. I got the IRUPE XL Black. The following pictures are other variations. I'm definitely purchasing the smaller IRUPE PLUS but probably with the braided straps instead of the black leather straps. (The straps can be switched). I purchased the braided keychain that attached to my bag and got a free multicolor one also. The price point is reasonable.

I’m just going to put that out there. It seems like everyone personally is getting married with the same ole 2-3 carat giant oval e ring and a thin tiny tiny pave band from the teachers aid to the marketing girl to the physicians assistant. Then I see it all over IG. Gets repetitive. I wonder what’s the next shape to blow up like this did.

I remember thinking ovals were granny-esque or “romantic”.

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking of selling my palm springs mini and have been trying to post it on Facebook groups. I got a quote from Fashionphile for about $1168 and Rebag for $1195 (trade in). Do you guys think this is a good price to let go of my bag? I have worn it a good amount and have had it since March 2020 (pandemic era purchase lol). There’s no marks, dents, or scratches to note!

Hi -- I bought the Mini Anjou last year in Paris in yellow and I love it. I would now like to get another one in a darker color, particularly green, but the green color always seems to be sold out in Paris. Since I already have a red and sky blue St. Louis, I'd like to get a different color, such as navy. However, is the navy super dark such that it pretty much just looks like black? i cant choose. i saw rose pourpre in swift and absolutely gorgeous, i believed it should look similar in togo. i tried the rouge grenat in ghw i liked it too.
Whats bothering me, i think i do prefer rose pourpre, but i feel rouge grenat is more like a netural and i can carry it till im 60.
Not sure if i look nice in rose pourpe when i turn 60. just wanted to get a colour that has longer mileage.

I dropped off my black b25 at the boutique to be serviced/ spa because it had a few scratches on the leather. I just picked it up today and was so happy until I opened it and saw these! I will contact the store but super sad since these marks were not present when I dropped it off at the store!

A group of Washington, D.C., men have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston on charges of smashing in the front door of a Gucci outlet in Wrentham and making off with more than $30,000 in merchandise.
