an instant reveal of aire

I got this gorgeous preloved nappa aire bag. The color is so beautiful and the leather is very buttery and smooth. But it seems a bit too big for me, and the handle is short for shoulder. I am not sure whether I should keep it though I really want to. It is really beautiful. I wish you could see it with your own eyes. The camera doesn't do it justice at all.

Totally MM Damier MM Buy Yay or Nay

I found this Totally MM in Damier MM.
It has had it days of use as you can see from the pictures. I offered him $400 he said yes. The canvas on top has some cracking interior looks dirty.
I’m wondering if this is a good deal or not or would you pass?
He was originally asking $800.
I just want an inexpensive purse that I can use and not worry about. But also don’t want it falling apart.
What do you think yay or nay?

Question re: Rebecca Minkoff nameplate

Hi RM experts! I am in the market for a used MAM and have a question about the interior tag/nameplate. I’m used to seeing metal ones, but on some used bags I see leather tags (pic attached). When were these used? I am not nearly as knowledgeable about all things RM as many of you are!

Separately, I am so glad that I found this subforum. Many years ago I coveted a MAM but could not justify buying one while I was in school. I’m getting a lot of feelings about finally acquiring one - and the used prices are great! I’m so excited

Odeon PM

Hi all, I had the Pochette Métis in monogram that unfortunately had to return due to glazing issues. I now have credit to use and keen to do it before a price increase which I’m sure is coming at some stage. I’m trying to decide on either the Odeon PM or Pochette Métis Empreinte in black . I’m so confused! I just need a bag for everyday and fuss free .

I’m petite and feel like the Odeon suits my frame better .

Pros or cons on the Odeon Pm please, help me decide lol

Cartier Travel Pouch

Hi Everyone! I hope you're all having a great day!

I went into Cartier in Sydney yesterday and purchased a small Cartier d'amour necklace and a regular JUC ring. When I received my items, there were no travel pouches. I asked my SA about them and she said these two items don't come with travel pouches. I don't shop at Cartier that often (have only purchased a Love ring - no pouch and JUC bracelet - pouch and cleaning kit inlcuded, prior to yesterday) but I was wondering if those of you who shop regularly at Cartier could shed some light - is it up to the discretion of the SA to include (or not include) travel pouches with purchases of smaller items like rings and necklaces? I'm travelling soon and those travel pouches would come in really handy!

Thank you

Fendi vs Tod's vs Ferragamo

I'm doing me research on bags that I can potentially get for my birthday. (I know. It never ends). As mention e din another thread before, I have LV items and I love them as they seem durable and I never had any issues. Now I'm trying to look up other brands to help me make a decision. I don't have anything from Tod's, Ferragamo or Fendi.

Would you recommend these brands? If you have pieces from them, can you let me know about the quality?

From Fendi, I'm loving the fendi fendigraphy in Nano or their WOC.

From Tod's I'm eyeing their moon shaped bag called T Timeless shoulder bag in micro leather and also their bucket bag and the bag in leather micro with strap and the small shopping tote.

From Ferragamo, I'm loving their boxyz bag which I can get from the outlet.

Tod's seem really lovely with all the leather, minimal design and seems to have a classic design that I can wear when I'm like 40 (5 years down the line lol) Fendi is very loud and I dotn have loud bags so it can make a statement just unsure if I'd still want it at 40. Ferragamo, also classics but they do smooth leather for boxyz so I'm worried it scratches easy.

Let me know your thoughts and if you have some other recos from the brands I mentioned!

Second Hermes bag opinion?

Wow. I have had many lovely bags… Chanel, LV, celine… but I blown away by how amazing my new Evelyne 29 is. It’s so dreamy and lush. I waited a long time to pull the trigger on one and wish I would have done it sooner as I see this being a daily workhouse for me!!!! I see how Hermes is a slipper slope!!! Now I think i
Will need a second sooner then later. Wanting something in a light neutral. Maybe chai or French? What is a good next bag… picotin 22? Garden party 36? My wardrobe is very neutral: black/ white/ tan/blues and my lifestyle is pretty elevated casual. I’m not hitting the town .. more running kids around and running my business. Would love to hear others stories and what you think could be a great second Hermes !!!!!!

Holy Grail Reveal 15 Years in the Making

It's true to fact when I say this reveal has been a very long time coming. As long as I've been a PurseForum member (since 2009) this particular bag has been my number one holy grail bag, but for many reasons it's always been the one that got away. There's been times over the years where I simply couldn't afford it, or where I couldn't justify the constant price increases, times where I got tired of sitting on store waitlists, and then well, life often gets in the way and adult priorities take over. Ultimately I ended up listening to the opinions of friends and other forum members who found the bag heavy and cumbersome which made letting it go slightly easier. I decided to move on believing it was out of my reach.

Fast forward almost 15 years and life has significantly changed, I've been an International Flight Attendant now for 13+ years and I no longer regularly use my handbags the way I did when I worked in the corporate world. Since then I've accumulated some beautiful bags, I'd even purchased a new soft/easy version of the bag as a compromise, citing that it was lighter and cheaper, but the fear of it softening and losing its structure over time stopped me from regularly using it. A few years ago I also bought a mint condition Diana flap in lambskin in Japan but never used it because the thought of scratching the buttery lambskin scared me.

Sad to see my bags gathering dust, I recently made the decision to consign most of my collection with Fashionphile and take store credit. With the money sitting on my account I spent a few weeks deciding what to do... Finally get my holy grail bag, or listen to popular opinion and choose a smaller size that's lighter on the shoulder, able to transition easily from day to night and in some cases, just considered more practical?

So began the YouTube rabbit-hole, devouring online bag reviews and mod shots, forum searches, and finally a hugely helpful visit to the Newport Beach/Fashion Island boutique while I was on a work trip from my home base in Sydney. The SA who looked after me could not have been more helpful. She took the time to let me try on and play with both bags, despite knowing that I was buying pre-loved, which seemed of no consequence to her. She was friendly, fun and determined to help me until I felt I had the clarity I needed around my purchase. It was all-around an absolutely fantastic instore experience and a pivotal moment in helping me make an informed decision.

As soon as she handed me the Medium I knew... I looked in the mirror and instantly felt like a Linebacker trying to be ballarina. I think I may have even laughed out loud looking at myself in the mirror with this dainty little handag that felt immediately overwhelmed and by my 5,7 frame. As someone who does daily crossfit classes, I have solid arms and shoulders, and as a result, I'm kind of built like a swimmer. It just wasnt the right fit.

Taking it off, the SA handed me my holy grail... the Jumbo CF in Caviar with SHW. Picking it up I think my heart stopped... From the second I slung it over my shoulder it was love at first sight. If it's possible for a handbag to fit like a glove, the Jumbo fit me perfectly in every way. It fit my frame and most importantly it fit my personality. It also didn't feel anywhere near as heavy as I'd come to expect, despite it obviously being empty. With that in mind, I walked out of the boutique 100% certain and excited that after 15 years I was finally going to pull the trigger.

And so I did. I scoured Fashionphile and found a Jumbo in perfect condition with box, dustbag and card for a fantastic price... and luckily, right before the price increase came in earlier this week. Today I picked her up on a work trip at Fashionphile in Dallas and I simply couldn't be more thrilled. Despite being from the 2014 collection she's in brand new condition, the leather is still stiff and there's not a mark or a scuff on her. I just can't believe she's mine after all this time. With the additional credit on my account I was also able to grab a few SLG, so without further ado, here's a few photos of my new to me Jumbo unboxing and a few photos from the boutique in Newport Beach last week.

Is it possible that a 16s can be a 24 series?

Hello! I’ve been looking for the 16S caviar chevron blue mini with silver hardware for a while now and always thought it was supposed to be a 22 series but came across this beauty that’s a 24 series. I do know that Chanel came out with a darker blue right afterwards but is it possible that this is still from 16S? Of not, which season is it? I really want the bright cobalt blue but it’s always hard to tell the true color in pics!

Thoughts on Tiffany & Co Edge Collection?

What are everyone’s thought on the new Edge collection? Though this collection has been around a couple months, I haven’t seen much talk going on about this collection. From the looks of it, it does seem like their target with this collection is a bit different from their other new collections and aiming for a Schlumberger alternative.

I really do like their Bypass ring and love the details of mixing gold and silver metals like their Schlumberger coutnerpart.
