She counts Jay Z and Alexander Wang among her best friends, and is daughter of two of America's biggest stars, but Zoe Kravitz want you to know she's no It girl.
The 22-year-old, who is set to star in this summer's blockbuster X-Men First Class admits in a new interview that 'all that It girl s**t makes me kind of uncomfortable.'
She tells ASOS magazine: 'Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me out.'

Fame, of course, is something Miss Kravitz knows a thing or two about. Her father is A-list rocker Lenny Kravitz, and her mother is former Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonet.
But her childhood, she reveals was surprisingly normal.

'My dad was brought up very old school, very strict - "Yes ma'am, yes sir,"' she said. 'So he's wearing leather pants and a boa, but he would be like, "Did you do your chores today?" Or "That dress is too short!" Seriously, no joke.

'I had chores, I had an allowance - "Yes there's a party going on with Mick Jagger and some models but it's your bedtime."'

Rising star: The 22-year-old budding actress appears in this summer's biggest blockbuster, X-Men First Class

She admits, like most kids, she used to cringe at the way her parents dressed.
'I used to be a little embarrassed by how [my mom] and my dad would dress, but now I steal their clothes all the time. My dad has totally taken my Cat Stevens T-shirt, but It's OK I have his Black Flag one and that's amazing.'
She even unknowingly spent money on pieces her mother had donated to a local vintage boutique: 'She took a bunch of stuff down while I was away, and I went there when I got back and bought five of her things.
'I got home and was like, "I can't believe I just paid for your clothes!" Out of everything in the store I bought my mother's things.'

She also discussed her reclusive mother's decision to step away from the limelight.
'She walked away from being famous because she didn't really care about it,' she explained. 'She is the most true artist I have met. She doesn't change for anybody...

'I admire her so much - and the fact that she's my mom is just so cool!'

Miss Kravitz appears to have inherited both Ms Bonet's acting skills and her father's musical talent.
She has her own band, Elevator Flight - 'we don't have a record deal, but we're playing it by ear' - and has appeared in a number of movies already including No Reservations with Catherine Zeta Jones.
The latest instalment of the X-Men franchise is, of course, her most high-profile to date.
She appears alongside January Jones and James McAvoy, as well as her boyfriend, Michael Fassbender, who she met during filming.
'I feel like sometimes if you do a film with "movie stars" there's all this drama and superiority, but X-Men was not like that at all.

'We were living in London for four months and it was like X-Men summer camp, so we all hung out at each others houses after filming [and] went to pubs.'
