I have a speedy 25 that I purchased in 1983 for around $160.00. I could not believe how much I spent on a handbag at the time but I loved it and it is still in great condition with only a new zipper!

Keepall 50 in Monogram. Palm Springs, California, August 1985. I had barely heard of LV, but my gf was shopping for her first Speedy. She found it at Saks. I noticed that they had "big Speedys" too, and why shouldn't I get one as well? The perfect travel duffle bag of course. Got back to the hotel and saw that hers was made in France; mine in USA. Inquired at store. They acutally has Keepalls of both origins, so I decided to exchange the USA-made one for the French one - a few dollars more. So glad now. There were differences: the American-made one had the pre-honeyed leather while the French one was pristine vachetta. Also, the pattern did not invert on the US bag - there was a seam at the bottom (but not a bandolière.) Ahh the good old days....

1985 French Co Speedy... Perfect condition.... Practically ZERO wear. Purchased it from a meticulous collector for 260.00.... I don't have children yet, but would imagine my love for this bag is comparable to that of a first born child

old red Epi Soufflot with gold hardware - from about 1997. and a Damier Greenwich from 1998. I have a black Epi Speedy 25 that is at least 19 years old, but I bought it secondhand. and a yellow Epi Sac Triangle that dates back to the mid 1990s -- I don't use it too much, it's crazy rare.
