You are so lucky you fit those shoes! After I had kids my feet got wiiiiide. No luxury shoes for me.😳

I'm so sorry. I know that happened to my mother too, she said she had to give all her heels away after my sister was born.

I don't even try on above 4 inches unless there's a wedge or block-heel - and even then it depends on the gradient of the shoe or if there's a platform. I tried the most beautiful very high red suede CLs on a few years ago - I don't remember what the actual height was, but YIKES!. I used to spend half my day en pointe, but the strain is taken up by the stiff leather sole and there are constant bends after the relevée. Pain not only comes from the thin sole of the front part taking all the weight, but the strain on the ankle and calf for long periods is a killer.

I had my boots in the cloakroom - just in case ;)
