My mental limit would be £500 - no more.

Whether i was working or not, i simply couldn't justify spending any more than that on one bag (Unless it was a deal of the century:p )

If i won the lottery however, it would be a totally different story.... :D

I am just plain MENTAL!!!! when it comes to buying bags...ok ,and shoes, too!!( I just spent 2300.00 on the Chanel Lux tote!)...love it...but it was a little painful......this thing better hand me my wallet when I need it...for what I paid for it!!........kidding!

About $1K for me, although there is an Hermes fund! That limit keeps me in check since whatever I spend on a bag is matched by a contribution to my IRA--makes it pretty easy to max that out!

The older I get, the higher my limit goes. Five years ago I never would have spent over $500.00 on a handbag. Now when I see a bag that is $1,000 I think, wow how reasonable. I need help.

As for my current limit, I think anything over $2,500 would stop me.

My mental and actual limit is the same. I never actually went out to see a bag I really liked that I don't have the $$$ for. I paid a little over $600 for the Speedy 40 and that's my limit right now.

when i was younger 500 was just NOT mentally ok to spend on a bag ....but now I'm easily and willing able to part with 2500 for a bag.....i think im heading towards trouble *sigh*

I'm really not sure, it all depends on how much I want a bag. It seems to get higher everytime I buy a bag. I think it was probably around $1000 about a year ago, now I'm up to at least $2000, but I'm sure it would easily go up to $3000 if I saw the right bag.

Was:sad: . The reissue in black, medium. There is a Chanel store in Amsterdam and I was on their waiting list.

Actually I have subsequently decided that I like the classic better,so after all the bags that have gotten in the way I shall attempt to beg or steal this one.

I keep telling myself that i can always get a Chanel...but I would have bought this one if she'd not run short of stock;I'd put the funds aside for it.

I must say that after a huge purchase I am usually overcome by guilt for ages...but as I say it doesn't happen very often. Fortunately. I don't have many designer bags.

if you are still interest you can give them a call, they have a few black and grey one left in store, last week i was at Chanel Amsterdam and saw the black and grey one at the display....

Well, our Canadian dollar further inflates the prices, so that makes me sweat sometimes when I order from the U.S. The most I have ever paid so far is about $1600 Canadian dollars. I can't imagine spending more than $1500 U.S. on a handbag--yet. If I did, I would have to love, love, love it.

My mental limit? About $1000 tops! I've done the reverse of most girls - in my early 20s, I would easily fork over the cash for a bag I loved - now that I'm approaching 30, I'm thinking... hmm... house, trips... I can't justify the purchases as well!

my mental limit is $1600 reguardless of any brand. I cant justify paying more than that because i wouldnt want to carry it! although i purchase a bag every two months or so...gotta mix things up =)
