I was 8 and my dad brought me home a fossil bag and a coach bag. It was a leather swing pack fossil in brown and the coach was a small sig. in white and tan hobo. And I still have both, but they started it all. The first designer bag I picked out... was a little different. In high school school all of the "Cool girls" had polo backpacks from Ralph Lauren. My mom decided I was "old enough to pick my own" so we went to Macys. At Macys I saw the polos but then a beautiful thing caught my eye... it was a Liz Claiborne. And of the course I got it but I also got it's neighbor (the bag next to it) a amazing black leather full size Coach. That's the day I realized I wasn't going to be cool, just stylish. :)

Back in the late 80's, the designer of choice was Liz Claiborne. I loved her bags and was thrilled when I could finally afford one. I'd always coveted the Dooney & Bourke bags, but they were wait out of my price range. Til 2003, when I bought my first D&B, it was a signature tassel tote. I have that bag still, although I don't use it anymore. Coach followed, in 2010 I bought a (used) Ferragamo suede black clutch and just a couple of weeks ago, I bought a Valentino catch satchel from Yoogi's. And this is just the beginning.

Mine was this Burberry leather satchel that had no name. The color was perfect because it went with everything. I picked it out the winter of 2008 at the Burberry store for my birthday in February. They had a burgundy color one that my mom regrets to this day not getting.

My First Preimer Designer bag was a LV Mono Speedy 30 that I purchased
just 3 weeks ago!
I have many casual designer bags like Isabella Fiore, Botkier, Tokidokki:shame:
Coach and Fossil.
I have to admit that I'm inlove with my new LV. I do see myself adding more
to my collection!!

My first designer bag was Tiger of Sweden. So if you´re in Stockholm check it out! The leather quality is great. My bag has put up with snow and rain and it´s still, several years later, intact. I bought my first, and one and only Prada a year ago. The Prada brand is a lot cheaper in Europe. I prefer to buy originals. Looks a lot better with a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag or a Rebecca Minkoff, which are brands that I like a lot, than a fake Louis Vuitton or a fake Celine. Save up instead until you can afford the real thing. It will feel a lot better....

Oh wow! That brings me back! I remember my first Liz Claiborne. I got it for Christmas from my grandmother (a fellow bag fiend) and I loved that thing. I also coveted the D&B but I couldn't convince anyone to spend that much money on me! LOL!!

I saw someone selling those again on etsy.

LV Tivoli PM.
Love the shape and the size.
Don't use it so much thou as I like to have both hands free and line to toss up bags on my shoulder.
I'm a working mum with four kids.
Hope I'll be more ladylike soon and get used to hand held bags.
