You Bought It Full Price And Then......

Recently as I was ready to buy a Sigrid Olsen bag at full price, the sales associate led me over to the sale rack where they had the same bag in an older version for half price. SOLD! The next day I found out it would have gone down to half of that price. Given the price point though, I didn't have any room to complain about a nice leather bag I'll have for years for all of $74.

It's never happened to me with a bag but many times with clothes - If it's a recent purchase, the big dept. stores will usually give you the difference - Macy's did it for me with a blazer that went from $200. to $160.00 in a flash. If too much time has passsed, I just take it in stride.

I really really hate when that happens! But on the brighter side, at least you purchased it early enough into the season to be able to enjoy it more often. You're actually getting more for your money that way! ;)

The bags I usually want are in high demand so I don't think they would be in stock by the time there is a sale. But when there is a sale, I do love picking up the bags that have the biggest discount ... it makes up for the ones I paid full price for.

yes. that's why i don't like to buy things that goes on sale or available at outlets. that's why i am so happy i returned my black spy back to saks the week before it was seen on costco.com.

If it's within a couple of weeks....i would be really disappointed and feel cheated. Anything more than that I don't think it's a big deal because a lot of handbags (minus the high end ones) eventually go on sale.

Yes... but..... the more time that passes, often the more people who paw it on the sales shelf.... Something may not look as nice as it did four-six weeks ago....

I am a gadget girl, and everytime I buy something, it gets discontinued/upgraded within the next three weeks. It irks me sometimes, but that's life! ;)
