I went back and forth between diamonds and no diamonds for a long time. I initially thought it would be “too much” but no longer feel that way. At the store, the bright lights make it look a lot more bling bling and flashy. In reality, the diamonds are small and subtle under everyday lighting. I wear it daily and find it easy to dress down as it is a small faced watch. I love the extra touch of diamonds as it makes it a little more feminine. Actually, if I am dressing up I usually skip my panthere watch and put on other statement bracelets for the evening.
Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity, do you feel your tastes about the diamonds changed over time? I’m in late 30s and a bit shy to pull that off every day but could def see myself feeling pretty comfortable with it in future

I voted for Panthere, because I have a mini RG with diamonds and love it to pieces. I wasn’t really planning on getting multiple gold watches, but after I got it, I wanted something chunkier and sportier, so I got the new Pasha 35mm RG(bracelet)with diamonds. Be forewarned, you might end up getting both at the end of the day! On that note, I’m actually planning to get the Tank Francaise MM RG because I want at least one gold watch without diamonds lol.

I find my Pasha a bit too bling for everyday activities, but Panthere could definitely be everyday, though I certainly can’t wear it to my work personally, as my work is very conservative.

For BB, I prefer the bigger sizes…I feel the style comes more “alive” in bigger styles, but this is just personal preference. I do think this will be a classic style for Cartier. I think you should go for the one that makes your heart flutter.

Which style do you prefer?

Sounds like you have a gorgeous collection! I looove the panthere in the mini size but not 100% sold on it in small, though think it is still beautiful. Just think my heart had been set on the mini size, so now that have to choose between larger sizes, like the ballon bleu too. Hope that one day may have the opportunity to add more to collection, but right now assuming that won’t be the case since hubby would def kill me if insist on an addl one. Lol. Think he is counting on this rounding out collection for a while.. Anyways between these two, seem to prefer BB one day and the panthere the next, so appreciating hearing all your experiences w these watches!

So far, seems that the Panthere is winning out at about 3:1 vote.. so if any BB fans for the 33mm in YG, pls lmk! And if BB is your vote, but 33mm aspect holding you back, please lmk that as well. Will prob make decision early next week. Hoping pieces will be available then! Thank you!

Thank you! I’m def looking for smaller side since wanted it to be a more classic size that fits wrist well and can be worn formal as well as casual. Love panthere and had originally planned to get that but had wanted mini size so got thrown off by that no longer being available. Small is also super nice though and love your watch ehy210! I have tried on that version before and it’s so pretty. Do you like diamonds there or do you feel it makes it too dressy and harder to wear casually? I have very few formal events so while I would like to be able to wear there if desired, my life is usually a lot more casual
I'd caution against getting something so small your you won't even be able to read them in later years as generally eye sight changes.
My wrist is about 5.75 inches and I usually go for 26-28mm dials but I'm surprised I chose a 32mm BB automatic. You should try different sizes to figure out what looks best on your wrist. BB just seems more versatile to me.

I have a 33 gold BB that I absolutely adore and wear regularly and I also think the Panthere is a beautiful watch. You will know what you really want after you’ve tried both on. I thought I would buy the Panthere until I tried on the BB which just suited me better. Have fun trying!

I’m in the early 30s and I do feel like my style has changed over time. I used to only like very dainty styles but I prefer everything with diamonds these days so I don’t get bored of them over the years. By the way, I was in the Cartier in Miami earlier today and they had the mini yellow gold with diamonds in stock. In terms of BB vs Panthere, I think you’ll have to try it on several more times before you feel comfortable with your decision. I tried the small and medium many times until I made up my mind. Hope that helps!

Ehy210, Thank you so much for the tip about the mini w diamonds in Miami! My SA is going to check and see if it is still available. In the past, I had been drawn to the bracelet on the mini, so I am soooo excited to potentially have that size since had been told it was a limited edition release in YG for just 2019. So excited and hoping it works out!! SA also mentioned that small is available as well. I know these days small seems to be more popular, what do you guys think? Am I crazy for lusting after the mini or will I regret that?

I have it in the small size. It is the perfect size for me. The mini is very small but very cute. It’s really personal preference. It may be hard to tell time on the mini but you should try both on if you can

So update, apparently the mini in Miami was the all pave version, so sadly out of budget. Will be between small panthere and YG BB. Leaning towards panthere and getting excited about it though must say wish it was automatic. Will ignore that though since know it’s more about the aesthetic for Cartier watches anyways. Hopefully it’s the panthere that sings to me when I see it in person!

Yes try them on a few times. Keep us posted on your decision!

I got the small in YG with a little bling on bezel too! Got inspired by you guys! Love it and sooo happy! Interestingly, the inner clasp of the watch is rose gold, not yellow. Are yours like that too? Thought maybe it was a defect but then my SA said she has noticed that recently. Anyways, loooove piece and really appreciate all your help getting to decision!! :)

Hi,
I came across this thread as I purchased the ballon bleu 33 gold with diamonds (my first gold watch), but am thinking about the gold medium panthere with diamonds. I would be wearing the watch every day. In my late 30s and work in finance. Any thoughts are appreciated!
