It's my mothers rings. I had them made a long time ago when I lived in my hometown of Mahattan NYC . You can go on some jewerly websites to see who makes them now. It was a small jewerly store they aren't in business anymore. Thank you.

I love yellow gold! It is so classic and timeless. All of my fine jewelry (with the exception of one xmas gift) are in yellow gold - I also try not to purchase anything plated since it is easy for the plating to wear off.

For some reason, and this is probably ridiculous, white gold doesn't have the bling or appeal to me as yellow gold. White gold can be mistaken for other metals (like a very new or shiny silver, platinum, etc) and just doesn't have that richness for me.

Sometimes white gold could be good too when you are in a thief infested place. They think its silver so you can just strut around with your jewelry. I heard though that they are getting better in distinguishing metals though.

I most likely won't be wearing any jewelry in a "thief infested" place. Why invite that sort of attention?

Love these, Blackmonster!! Did you have them custom made?
Thanks cdtracing... Not custom, other Ming's pieces. They were known for this style of filigree work in Asian / Chinese patterns. The company was started in the 40's, and closed in the late 90's when no one in the family wanted to continue the business. It's not too hard to find pieces for sale, but many are way over priced. I have found some great deals over the years on eBay

They're absolutely stunning! A good friend of my mother's has a beautiful Ming's Jade & Pearl ring her husband bought her for their anniversary in the late 40's. It's a magnificent piece. I love the details in the Ming's pieces. I hope to one day get a Ming's hinged Jade bracelet. The prices for Ming's items have gone through the roof but I do tend to stalk them on ebay. LOL You're very fortunate to have these wonderful pieces!

Thank you Shelovesbling for this great thread! I LOVE YG I think it looks best on my skin (next is RG then silver/WG/Plat). My engagement & wedding rings are YG as well.

These are my favourite pieces from my YG bracelet collection (all 22ct because they have more value here in Asia but I prefer the colour of 18ct)

Love this matching set! Totally getting my SO to get these for us!

These are my day to day pieces. I will wear my plain gold wr if I'm home, and usually put on my diamond and eternity band when I go out. I wear my little sideways cross everyday. My love is yg, the juc is pink. Thanks for letting me share, it's nice to not be alone as a yg lover!

Both your Cartier pieces are in my WL, I'll have you know.

A few more pieces... Phoenix and Dragon

Beautiful. Love that dragon!
