What about the carly pouch? I have it and it stands up on its own. It really holds a lot for a small bag.

I vote for the Khaki Carly! The Hobo latch thing looks too hard to get in and out of. Plus I think the Carly demi has a good bit of room in it!!
Another vote for #3. I think it will look great year round! Number #1 could start looking 'dated' soon bc of the perforation IMO.

Long time Coach addict and forum visitor, but this is my first post.
I agree with most.....Carly #3. I have the Signature duffle in the similar saddle/khaki color and it's the one bag I wear most of the time. I live in the Midwest and we get all 4 seasons. This is the one that I can wear all year round.
#1 is too structured. It can be a tight squeeze when you're trying to pull out your stuff.
#2 will probably show dirt more easily. You'll have to constantly worry about it and that's not worth the hassle.
Carly is gorgeous! I'm petite, too, but I've tried on the medium Carly and it looked good.

the latch on the hobo definately took me an extra second to unhook. dimensions-wise the two are kindof similar--hobo is 2+'' taller but 1.5''thinner. one thing i will definately have to do is to fit all my stuff into both bags, especially hobo, and see if it's a tight squeeze/any weird bulging present.
the plan is to go to the boutique this wednesday. yay! so excited. my thought right now is that i think getting the carly demi makes a lot of sense (winter) wardrobe-wise, as it'll look great with both fitted, structured coats as well as looser outerwear like a fleece jacket, whereas i feel like the hobo is too structured (which i love about it) for fleeces/hoodie/dress down clothing. maybe carly demi for now, and hobo for my birthday in june?!?

The pouch is not as wide, but taller. Take a look at it in the store. It really holds a lot for a small bag. I have it in the khaki signiture with blue handles and LOVE it!!!
I'd say #3 too. Being from Jersey too, you can get away with that all year. I wear my black optic purse (no clue what the name of it is but it's 2175 in drilldown) all year round (though I have a few I switch off to now and again).

Hey all, just wanted to thank you for your advice and update you on what I finally chose...(drumroll please) ...the small carly demi in khaki/brass. (plus a khaki/white soho sig mini skinny )
deep down, I knew it would be the more practical bag and even tho i thought it was a little big in the store, i went for it anyways. i definately don't think it's big at all anymore--i went to the coach boutique and tried putting all my stuff in the hamptons optic hobo, and my wristlet (which usually is the only thing i carry around) took up 85% of all the space. i can definately throw in the extra junk (lip balm, compact, toothbrush--weird i know.. i brush my teeth after coffee, etc.) inside the carly and everything juuusst fits. the hamptons hobo definately for some reason has a special place in my heart, buuut, there's always my birthday hehe... besides, how could i resist getting a more expensive bag and wallet for the same price as 1 bag?
btw, to a poster above... my bag acually does stand on its own.. but it's not slouchy at all, like the pics online...
