I hadn't even seen ebags before, so I'm checking them out. I still think the orig bag is ok...plus it's available for half price at the local TJMaxx (ok, I'm really cheap!). Generally I like Micael Kors...but I'm def checking out ebags and stuff first. I love having all these purse experts to help w/ shopping:nuts:

PS. As a side note -- anyone remember the big "initial" craze a few years back with those bags that just had your name letter on them? Some intial jewelry and stuff is ok, but those bags were a little much. Since my initials are MM, I wouldn't want anyone thinking I was hanging on to that whole trend:-)

oooh, I like ratan actually. Thanks passerby! I'm back to the drawing board in deciding what to get -- need to look at these bags you found more closely.

I feel like a hypocrite for being willing to buy things with leather trim...but no fur and not totally leather, but that's where I am with my animal rights ideas right now (not totally vegan!). I like jacquard, canvas, nylon, ratan -- all great. meanwhile, I still love the looks of leather -- so no offense to everyone here who has great leather bags! -- but I don't like the way that the leather and meat producing animals are treated. If they were all raised on HUMANE farms, I wouldn't have problems with it.

Passerby - sometimes I think we all have too much time on our hands :) I just think it is really nice of you to take your time to help everyone here out.

Jenniferm - These bags may not be your taste but others may like them. Calling them ugly doesn't help anyone here in anyway.

passerby, I LOVE polka dots and moon beams! What a cute store, never saw it before. That vegan bag is great and really affordable too. I think that's my first choice now. Cute clothes there too.
