Thanks so much vuittonamour for showing your ring. With your help I was able to purchase a similar ring, its larger (I have large hands) with mystic midnight blue topaz and the pave diamonds from the same seller. I really loved your garnet , but my wardrobe is much more geared to blues and grays than red. Plus i didn't want to copy!! I can't wait to get it. Will post pictures when it comes. Again, 1/2 off of retail price.

^^^^ that's great! i'm telling you this seller has great stuff. it may take a little while to get (mine took almost 3 weeks since it was special ordered from bali -- where all john hardy is made -- and held in customs) but it's well worth it. it was definitely brand new and beautiful. the only set back is that sometimes i think people don't think it's real because it's rather large and shiny and looks like costume jewelry! lol it's def. 100% real, but i have had compliments on it :) and i love it. can't wait to purchase another from her.

i'm not sure what color i want next but i do have my eye on a specific style :) i would love and i love the mystic blue color if that's the one you ended up getting. mystic is like a mix between a darker and medium blue...but you said yours is midnight...is it even darker?

that is somethin somethin! it looks beautiful and stunning with your perfectly manicured fingers! that rock looks heavy too. kind of reminds me of a class ring but something nicer...sorry i don't know if that came out right. But, it's stunning nonetheless

The midnight blue is the mystic blue, its darker than the regular blue topaz. I received my ring today and its beautiful, but oh so big. Not sure if I can carry it off (it came quick but I think she mailed it from NY). I am driving myself nuts because I only have a few days to return it if I decide to. She doesn't have your size ring in the mystic (or midnight blue), she does have the garnet. Your ring is gorgeous, but I wear so much more blue, but I just hate paying full price to get the blue...Have no idea what to do. I'm just afraid I won't be able to get used to this size ring. I'll post a picture.

Here is the big ring I have first, then the smaller ring that I want.

yeah i know the bigger size is pretty big. she did not have my ring in garnet when i first e-mailed her looking for it, but two months later it popped up on ebay and i e-mailed her inquiring if it was the ring i had e-mailed her about months before. she said yes so i purchased without hesitation. i waited forever but it was perfect. they probably do not have my ring in the mystic (which i LOVE that color) because it is still in stores and probably still rather new. mine was still in stores too (and still is) but i just got lucky. you may want to return it and wait it out, see if she gets it. my mom likes my ring and that color too. i'm hoping she does get my ring in that color at some point because if mom gets it guess who's going to get to wear it too :sneaky:

My advice from the queen of bargain shoppers, and many hard lessons learnt!!!!!
Better to pay full price for something you will wear all the time than half price for something you will hardly wear at all!!! Just something to think about.
I say no to a ring that feels too big or heavy because you will keep finding excuses not to wear it which will really be a waste of money.

Also, even if you wear lots of blue, the garnet will still work well imo. Maybe even better than a blue ring????
