I would never change mine. The sentimental value in it for me is in its original form. If I wanted an "upgrade", I'd get a different ring altogether. Granted, DH got me an amazing ring the first time around, but I'd feel the same if he'd given me a bead on a string. I'm a huge sucker for sentimentality though!
