Would you carry a black bag year round?

Yep, I carry black bags all year-round. I also carry very light colored bags in the winter. I carry whatever bag I want to carry with whatever I'm wearing and I don't worry about what season it is.
Of course, I would! Here in southwest Florida, it's pretty warm all year long and I have no qualms at all about carrying black any time of the year.
Eh, I'd wear black bags any time of the year providing they have a simple, versatile shape. I might change the colors of my outfits throughout the year but the black could go with any color in my book.
I love black handbags I have five of them but in the summer it is just plain tacky to wear a black purse with light colored clothes unless you are wearing black if you're going to a funeral. Black purses or dark colors should be worn probably more in the winter months. But there is no code of wrong or right. You can do whatever you want just like if you want to wear white past labor day you could but I would not. So I only carry a black purse in summer if I'm wearing black and usually I don't even do that. But my first purses were black purses and like I said I have five of them now. But I love the colors of spring summer and fall handbags and with a light colored clothes it really makes your outfit. That's my two cents.
Black is always appropriate. I think style is more important than color here. As long as you carry your raffia tote to the pool instead of a formal dinner and don't try to stuff a beach towel into a minaudiere, you've got this in the bag. 
I have no real seasonal bags if not counting my beach/picnic tote. Black bags do get into rotation in the summertime as well. Especially if I'm traveling and I take a leather handbag it's most likely black that's easy to incorporate into any outfit. Most of my jeans are black or very dark blue and I wear them throughout the year as well.
@Dwan luckily we don't have such funny rules outside of the US when it comes to colors. I'd be even more inappropriate than I am now, if we had to think of the time of year when we can wear certain colors in Finland.

I usually select my bag based on my outfit (and occasion), and sometimes, a black bag is the one that works best with certain outfits, so yes, I might definitely carry a black bag during the warmer months. That said, I enjoy carrying pastels and some bright colored bags during spring and summer, and try to give them as many wears as possible during the warmer months.
