Would you buy/own two of the exact same bag?

Please tell me I'm not crazy...Has anyone else bought more than one of the same bag...kind of as a back-up? I'm so fond of my Kooba Renee that the thought of wearing it out and not having another is not a happy thought. Well, I was lucky to come across another Renee for a steal of a price and I bought it so that when my current bag is no longer useable I will have another. Is that so wrong? I'm starting to worry about my bag obsession!

^^^ ITA with Megan! I do it with clothes and shoes all the time but never bags. Doesn't mean that it's crazy though lol.

^^Theres too many bags out there for me to just stick with one and then another when it passes away, but I'm contridictory because I carry a bag till it dies, and then I move on.

If you love it that much, don't sell it! I"ve bought a "back up" bag for those bags that I absolutely love. There's nothing odd about it at all!

If you love it and found a second one for a great price, keep it! No reason to get rid of it just because a few tPFers do things differently

I think it's a great idea - actually thinking about getting another Monogram Speedy 30 before another price increase and just keeping it waiting in the wings!

I do it with shoes. I haven't with bags but I do buy a bag that I know is not going to be around too long that I always have thought about getting.
Like I had the Kooba Metallic Army in a Scarlett and I loved that color so much, I had to get one in the Sienna even though there is very little difference in the bag. I knew the color would become scarce and then I'd never find it.

Yup, I am known to do that sort of things. One time I love this Prada bag so much that I bought three identical ones. One to use, one as a backup, and one as a backup to the backup.

I would like to do the same with Hermes bags ...

Definitely with shoes since once they're gone, they're gone. If the bag is just this season, why not? If it's an LV that always going to be for sale, no reason to.

I never duplicate bags. There are too many out there that I crave.
Also, I've never "worn out" a leather bag... I've had hardware break, but that can be fixed.
