Would this be totally faux pas?

For future piece of mind, you should put a security tag on the bag in case of bait and switch. i would keep the bag and refund the money. Don't send it back.

Hello ladies & gents ^_^
This is my first post on PF. OneHawtMess, I just want to know what do you mean by a security tag? Does it come with a bag when you bought it from a LV store? Thanks in advance! :flowers:

No they do not...I think what she means is when selling previously owned bags that you should put some sort of a security tag on it, so you would know if the item was switched.

yes send her the proof from MyPoupette. you shouldn't have to take the bag back if it's.

i always state that all sales are final, because i know they're authentic and the buyers do too.

this happened to me about a month ago, when i sold my Gucci waist bag. i gave her the receipt and everything, and she emailed me after she got the bag saying that she didn't think it was authentic and wanted to return it. i told her to take a GOOD look at the receipt, or take it to Gucci and have it out with them. she never replied, which means she decided to keep it, but she never left feedback either :censor:

It's better to have no feedback from her than a negative or neutral feedback. That's what I hate about ebay... you just never know who your buyers are going to turn out to be. :yucky:

It's definitely buyer's remorse. I recently had a buyer want to return a bag because it was "significantly misrepresented". I'd claimed it was in excellent, like new condition (which it was - I'd literally only carried it twice - not a mark on it), and she said it smelled like smoke (HUH? I've never smoked, this bag has never been near any smoke). I'd stated "all sales final" in the auction, but this woman was adamant about a refund. I ended up refunding her (AFTER I got the bag back in the same condition I'd sent it to her - it looked perfect and did NOT smell like smoke!) to avoid the hassle, and also because I feared a chargeback. I ended up sending a Second Chance Offer to the next highest bidder - she jumped at it and loved the bag! So, it worked out in the end, but it was a pain. I guess if you sell on ebay, you have to deal with one of those people eventually!

ITA with the other ladies here. This buyer is suffering from buyer's remorse. Did you leave her a negative feedback yet? I'd definitely do that and I would also offer a Second Chance offer to the next highest bidder like bagluver mentioned. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you!

I also sell authentic bags on ebay -If that happened to me, I would take the bag back in a minute, let her take her money and be done with it - It's not worth the hassle, you have a genuine bag and someone honest will buy it. BTW for what it's worth, I always think that accepting returns is always a better way to go - when they know you will happily take the bag back, they are less likely to want to do that.

Excuse my language, but it sounds like the buyer is a broke ass who realized upon receiving the pochette and wasting your time that she couldn't afford it after all. I've seen some of your auctions (I know your watermark) and you ALWAYS sell authentic. Not to mention the fact that you're a PF member, of course. :graucho:

Unless you need the money or were hoping for it to go towards a new piece, I'd tell her good riddance and file with eBay to have my Final Value Fee reversed.
