Would / do you buy jewellery on ebay?

Yes, but only from a seller with a 100% rating and only a piece that's not regularly knocked off. For example, I wouldn't buy Tiffany silver off eBay but the Tiffany T line is new enough that it's a safer buy right now if the seller if reputable.

I agree, buying on ebay or any online source would be a good purchase. I like to follow trends and finding bargains for fashion jewelry would be great, I'd be enjoying something that is in season and not spending as much compared to prices in retail stores. As for precious stones, you know they don't come cheap, so if you are worried that they are not the real deal, just purchase them off a trusted local jeweler.

I have bought some jewelry off Ebay but I do my research & only from sellers with excellent feedback. I'm very particular so I always have my jeweler check out any purchase I've made for any damage or synthetics. I would not buy Rubies or Opals online unless it's was certified & I trusted the seller. So much going on with Rubies now days that you want to make sure it's been certified by reputable gemologist.

I agree, point made, why not, buy everyday wear evening or night jewelry on ebay and leave the precious stoned jewelry to your local trusted jewelers or gemologist. Risk free and headache free.

I have bought several pieces off of eBay. I only buy from sellers with great feedback. I wouldn't buy from someone who was accused of selling fakes. I also want to see lots of pictures. I feel like I got a great deal and have been satisfied with my items.
