You can't ever see buyer user names unless you are the seller. You used to be able to but Ebay changed things a year or two ago.

Well, you were clearly in the country today and you could've canceled it before I won. Also, I travel quite often and have been to 31 countries and had or could have found access to the internet in all of those instances - even when I was in the middle of the rainforest. In any case, the auction is your responsibility as a seller. I think what REALLY happened is that these shoes sold for less than you expected and you don't want to take a loss. Although I can understand that, it's still your fault -- you should've set a reserve price. I also sell on eBay and I've taken losses before but because I am bound by the rules of contract, and I happen to take my responsibilities seriously, I send those items to their rightful buyers. So - no, I won't agree to cancel the transaction and you're still liable for the seller fees on eBay -- 9% of $895 comes out to $80.55. If, however, the shoes miraculously appear, let me know and I'll pay for the shoes I won.
... And here is my response:
Jaclyn,

Classic. I bet the shoes are somehow found. But honestly, for nearly $900 she can't send you the shoes?
Hahahahahahahaahahaha
:lolots:
Honestly! Isn't this insane!? I just hope the sellers plan to get more money is foiled and ends up with either a lower final price, or a non paying bidder.
And I've called Paypal today and spoke to someone who is looking after the case. I've pointed out that the seller not only took my money, but went ahead and listed the item again! The agent has made note of our emails through ebay, yes, including the now infamous "price is too low so I can't sell it to you" message. He says it's pretty clear what's happening here and that it should be resolved in a matter of days.
Here's hoping there aren't any delays in the investigation! I'm confident this will have a good outcome and hopefully, for all our sakes, sellers like this will cease to exist on ebay. Thank you thank you THANK YOU everyone. I can't tell you enough how encouraging it is to have TPF as my cheerleading squad through this mess![]()
Definitely don't agree to cancel - if you cancel, they get their final value fees back, and that would be my guess as to why they haven't refunded you yet -they want you to agree to cancel so they can get those fees refunded.
Your money should have been refunded /immediately/. What she's got going on right now is theft, plain and simple. She has your money, and has no intention of shipping you the item. Did her email that the price was 'too low' come through the Ebay mail system?
It's amazing how many sellers want to hold a buyer to the bidding contract, but don't think that should apply to them if they didn't get enough money for their item.
She didn't want to put a reserve on it, because Ebay charges extra for that.
Oh - and /definitely/ file a Non-Performing Seller report and give her a negative. Something like 'Won item, seller didn't like price, took my $$ & relisted. Buyer Beware!'
hello
i say file a police report... the seller is a thief who has the buyer's money and will not send the item. Police Report!!!!
File, File, File!![]()
