I know right! I will do a peekaboo iseeU petite. I already own 4 baguettes and only one peekaboo so I thought that would be the best choice. I will show you what I went with when I get the sketch on saturday š„°Wow those iridescent and metallic crocs are gorgeous!
Are you getting a baguette or peekaboo?

Oh that is very disappointing but I think you made the right decision.Hi everyone I have an update but Iām not really happy with it. I had my appointment today where I learned that the peekaboo iseeU is not an options for the MTO. I was really set on getting one because I own plenty of baguettes. I also was set on making a yellow bag but no options I liked for the shade of yellow I love were available⦠I let them made a drawing for me of a baguette in pink ostrich but my heart wasnāt with it. Iām really sad because I was so excited to make a mto but somehow Iām also proud of myself for not āsettlingā. Itās a lot of money for something you not truly love so I decided to not go ahead with the mto.Iām a little heartbroken but I know I did whatās rightā¦View attachment 5987569View attachment 5987570
I don't know why they won't offer to do the made-to-order with their Iseeu. Isn't that their current flagship Peekaboo bag? I know! they also had them on display so I thought that would be possible. Hello! Very exciting congrats!!Hi - I appreciate you sharing your experience. I was invited to my first Fendi MTO/World of Fendi event in NYC next week. Do you know which bag(s) are customizable especially as it relates to men's bags (seems like a lot of the customization options are geared more towards woman's bag which makes sense as they are the larger customer base). Disappointed the Iseeu isn't available - agree that could be one of the most fun bags to customize. Given the cost of MTO, I'm more inclined to want to create a bag for special occasions rather than a "daily driver" like a larger peekaboo which would get too much wear & tear on it.
Were there any leathers/other materials to pick from or is it all exotics? My SA (who is a wonderful wonderful person but can sometimes be a little to pushy (IMHO)) has really pressed that he is expecting me to MTO a croc bag (which probably nets them the largest commissions) but I am not so certain that is what i want.
Thanks again for sharing the pics of choices.
This customization is supposed to be a high-end luxurious experience, not a rushed and disappointing experience. What's the point of offering so many options and then providing limitations to everything?I know! they also had them on display so I thought that would be possible. Why would they show them and not have them as an option. š„¹
I also had some time to reflect about the pressure I felt during the appointment. It felt really rushed and I āhad to decide quicklyā. Apparently there were models like the soft trunk and the regular trunk also available for customization I wasnāt aware about before my appointment. The options were shown quick and they were like āalright decide everything NOWā. My gut feeling said it isnāt right. There were many limitations even though the options seemed endless at first. Well it was an experience š
That sounds like a wonderful experience. I completely agree with you. The experience should feel luxurious and personal. Not like a total cash grab. Iām excited to hear about your event with fendi. š„°I will report back my experience. Agree it's supposed to be 'special' and how disappointing if it's not especially when being offered to people who are supposed to be their best customers.
As an aside, I also attended the LV "NYC Crafting Dreams" event in Manhattan a few weeks ago. They rented a townhouse and filled it with some of their latest (and most expensive) RTW (for women), exotic bags, furniture, tableware, jewelry and watches.
I met my SA for what I was told in advance was up to a 90 minutes appointment. Was treated very graciously, they limited the number of quests at any one time, fed us coffee, drinks etc and there was surprisingly little pressure to buy (and whatever you wanted to buy was not "cash & carry" but they would take orders and ship to you). I added some pieces to my tableware set and had a new hour seeing some of the latest LV items.
I left feeling good about my LV relationship - I would hope fendi (another LVMH brand) would know how to do same.
