nyc, you lucky girl...if I had big chi chi's then I too would wear a sports bra. BUT no such luck.

Emily-- all-female gym?? Must be nice. I go to 24 hour fitness..and mind you I live in orange county, so just imagine all the beautiful and fit people who go.

Thank you to everybody for their input! The last few days I've been wearing my t-shirts and shorts, but the t-shirt became almost unbearable while running. Wore a tank today..was much better. I'm about to invest in some dri-fit tanks and hopefully get a trainer. Can't wait to get back in shape!!

I wear the spandex shorts with running shorts over them. I find that if I wear running shorts alone, my lovely thighs rub and cinch them close to my crotch. Also, I wear a sports bra with a t-shirt over it. I'm not a pretty picture when I go to the gym...

My female friends swear by LuluLemon so much so that I went and bought a few items from their men's line and love them. In addition, I really like he Nike Dri Fit technology and Adidas. I also love GAP and Old Navy for bottoms as I can get them dirty, crusty and throw them away and not be sad that I wasted a butt load of money.

I'm the girl with the tight pants and sports bra . I can't wear baggy clothes to the gym, I get toooo hot. I avoid the butt sweat look by wearing black pants. I also always wear a thin shirt wrapped around my waist.

This is me, too! I wear Nike yoga-style, long, very thin, black or navy pants. I'll also do a thin shirt wrapped around my waist to keep guys eyes OFF my *ss! Then top it off with a somewhat fitted nondescript white t and a sports bra. Very few people bother me, but the key is EARPHONES. Gotta get an iPod. Sounds rude, but my gyms are always friendly and I'm there to work out. Can't chat. So the earphones are a good excuse to stay focused

I usually wear either some yoga pants and a baby T or some other type of sweats. Sometimes Juicy. I usually don't sweat much in the gym though because I just lift heavy weights. For walking in the park I wear either yoga pants and a baby T or sometimes fitted shorts and a T. I have a couple pairs of black DKNY fitted exercise shorts that I bought a few years ago that I love.

I've never heard of Lulemon either. Where is it sold?

I wear only brazilian workout wear. its the best . the pants are low rise too. I get it at upvibe.com I like it because its edgy and different and the material is unique than any other pants I've bought. I usually pair the bottoms with a juicy t-shirt. They are just the most comfortable gym clothes I've invested in!

I wear Lululemon pants (their basic pants) and a loose fitting t-shirt. I plan on getting more Lululemon stuff as I find their products wonderful. They look great both for working out and going out. The have good designs, colors and cut that flatter all body shapes and sizes.

In Vancouver (where they originated) a lot of people wear them. At first, I avoided them because I though they were too "trendy" and expensive for yoga wear (about $78-$89 for pants), but my friend bought me one for Christmas and I now find myself wanting more pieces.

Here's their website with a listing of stores.
http://www.lululemon.com/

They've been expanding like crazy, so they must be doing something right.
For those who have stores in their city, I highly recommand that you go take a look! Their Scuba Hoodies are also awesome.

I wear black Nike shorts, a great t-shirt by Sugoi (one of my favorite athletic brands), good sports bra and my Addidas running shoes.

Sometimes if I haven't shaved my legs in a few days or have line marks on my calves from my hosiery at work I will wear my bootcut Addidas running tights instead of shorts. I don't worry about butt sweat too much...I'm gonna sweat at the gym but hopefully it's not as obvious in black.

I love athleta.com but i have also had great luck going to Fred Meyer and getting Nike and addidas stuff on sale.

OK, so when I'm outside running I wear my nasty old sweats and stuff, but when I'm at the gym (I work in one!) I like to look a little more put together.

Right now I like:
  • Lululemon Groove Pants (found this store on a trip to California, had never heard of it before, but these pants are awesome)
  • American Apparel t-shirts: Tri-blend, v-neck, and deep v, because I don't like wearing an entirely spandex outfit.
  • C9 sports bras from Target
  • Nike low rise modern fit workout pants
  • a lot of the Stella McCartney for Adidas stuff, although I can't afford much of it I have a pair of grey capri tights I adore
What do you wear to the gym? Any suggestions for cute workout wear? I'm looking for something new and different.

I wear Nike, Adidas, Old navy and VS pink sweatpants (in winter only)! I dont look very stylish but I am comfortable. I have yet to try Lululemon but IMO, just IMO is too much for a pair os workout pants. I bought a packet of hanes white tshirts for the gym (kids size) and they are working good for me.
