I don't worry about sweating. I'm at a gym, I'm going to sweat.:p

I usually wear tight black yoga capri pants with a sleeveless "wicking" fabric top. That seems to help with the sweat. I <3 Target, ON, and on sale clothes for working out, although I do have some nice Lulu stuff for when I do yoga/pilates and I'm not sweating like a fiend.

I'm embarrassed to say that I've never heard of Lululemon until now...is it because I've never been serious about working out and thus never looked into workout clothes until now?

btw, Target's an excellent idea!! I'll have to make a trip there too =)

And yes, sweating is a given at the gym..it just pours down my face. BUT, I'd rather not have a puddle of sweat on my butt when I get off the bicycle o_O sorry for the visual!!

I'm the girl with the tight pants and sports bra . I can't wear baggy clothes to the gym, I get toooo hot. I avoid the butt sweat look by wearing black pants. I also always wear a thin shirt wrapped around my waist.

Lulu is awsome, yes its worn alot around here, but I think for good reason. Good quality, it wicks away sweat, so you dont feel cold and clamy after, flattering cuts and cute colours.

wordpast-- wrapping a thin shirt around your waist is a genius idea. love it. however, I don't think black pants would help me avoid the butt sweat look. I say this b/c a few months ago I wore my black hard tail pants on a super hot day, and when I got out of the car my friend said, "haha I can see your butt sweat." not cool and definitely not attractive =/

huong-- for some reason I feel too naked with just shorts and a tank; although I agree that oversize t-shirts become almost unbearable when I run for a long time.

I need to invest in some yoga pants like everybody else

I couldn't care less about butt sweat, I'm at the gym! :shrugs:

I get butt sweat, crotch sweat, every type of sweat possible, and if I don't, I get upset that I'm clearly not working hard enough.

I always wear tight black pants and a cotton tank top. I know that if I feel like I look good, I'll perform better, so no sloppy looks for me. :biguns:

Hey there....
You're at the gym, so the sweat thing is almost unavoidable. Yes, comfort is important, but depending on the type of class that you're taking, baggy oversized clothes can be of disservice to you!
Proper body alignment when exercising is key - if you don't pay attention - you can hurt yourself AND in some cases, why even bother doing the exercise if you're in the wrong position? You cannot see yourself in the mirror and the instructor sure can't.
BUT, if you're just jumping/bobbing around, no matter. Enough for the "lecture".

Target is a good recommendation, as well as Danskin (they have a website) and Lulumon (sp?) is relatively new some parts of the US - I just heard about it a couple of months ago. Clothes do the wicking thing, so no evidence of sweat.

And yes, I am one of those that wears tighter fitting pants and a top because
1) I sweat A LOT and need to be cool
2) body awareness

Also, GapBody now has a line of workout gear including yoga type workout pants that come in a soft blend ( maybe cotton & or polyester with a bit of stretch ) and in a more high-tech blend similar to the Nike DriFit line or Lululemon pants. They are pretty reasonable, and I wear the yoga pants a lot for yoga ( duh! ) and working out. They are very comfortable.

I'm the girl in the little shorts and sporta bra, too! lol

I'm a dancer, and in dance we're basically as close to naked as possibly without being obscene so we and our teachers can see how our muscles are working. Because I've always worked out wearing very little, I just can't get into wearing anything baggy now. I like to work out in tight, stretchy clothes. (Thank god for all-female gyms)

My favorite workout bottoms are by Nike. They're capri's with an attached mini skirt... perfect for hiding butt sweat! ROFL. As other posters have mentioned, I avoid visible sweat issues by wearing black and/or layering.
