Do you still get a bunch of gold when you get married in Taiwan?
I wasthere 30 years agoand brides got so much goldthat honestly, you wouldn't need a diamond as well.Twelve things,I remember (12 pieces of golden jewelry)all24k and heavy and gorgeous.
The price of gold waspretty high then, too, but nothing like nowadays. I believe yesterday it hit $1375 an ounce.Wow. Jewelry is going to get more expensive everywhere.

In Taiwan, most people don't get engagement ring and wedding band.
Like other Asia countries, our engagement ring = the wedding ring.
But under the influence of TV shows and Hollywood movies, some people do get wedding band as well.
Personally, I wear mine everyday.
But a lot of people I know, they don't like to wear accessories including their ring.
