Will you buy a birkin with no rain cover provided?

Never, ever used my rain cover. It just sits in the box, actually. If it rains, I have other better alternatives.

I use my rain covers. (only if I get caught in the rain, and no matter how ridiculous I look )
They ususally fall in pieces pretty fast ....When I need a new one, I go to the store and ask for some. It is as simple as that !

You can get as many rain covers as you want from Hermes. Those are FREE !!!!
Rain cover is a part of the packaging , not a part of the bag !!!
(BTW it 's been part of the packaging for a few years only... )

I called my local H store & asked for the price of the rain cover. The SA told me that they had to check with H in France and it would be their very first time to place an order of rain cover. (sounds like it'd cost a fortune)

It does not cost a thing. Literally. Get a friend who shops at your store regularly to request one for you. FREE.

I agree with everybody else: I've never used a rain cover in my life, I think they look so ridiculous! I always carry inside my bag a plastic grocery bag, nicely folded away in one of the Birkin's pockets; so if I get cought in the rain, I put my bag inside it.

I NEVER use mine but saw it on a Kelly in the rain in Paris. For the price I think you should get the clochette, keys and lock but for an authentic Kelly of your dreams, buy it without the rain kit.

I have never used a raincover. They just sit in the box.

I have used mine but always felt a little embarrassed. They look silly and a stiff breeze will lift up it's skirt and expose your bag. (Sounds rather racy)

Totally I would buy it! I never use it and it was sitting in the box all the time!

I rarely use my rain covers.
If this is your dream bag, I would definitely buy it if I were you. And if you really want the rain cover, ask for one at a H. boutique or let a friend ask one for you.
