I was living in Central Paris, in the Palais Royal, carrying a tiny framboise coloured crocodile Dior bag with a top handle, which fitted my Tiffany silver key ring, my first mobile phone , a lipstick and a credit card(and a metro ticket for emergencies).

I sold it when I moved back to the U.K. as it was too impractical for daily life and didn’t fit a decent phone.

I still have all my bags from that aera. Major MJ fan. The stam brought me to this forum. I desperately wanted one and could not find it in Germany. Have still at least 10 bags from his main line and MBMJ. I adored the icy leather and have the stam, little stam, Venetia and a MP in that leather. But boy, those bags are heavy…
Also still have my three Balenciaga City. One is a Hamilton and smells heavenly…
Not sure if all my old Celines still belong in this category, they came a bit after I think, Micro and Nano luggage, Phantom and my beloved Trapeze.
Also I have some OG LV x TM pieces from that aera and all those old school Rebecca Minkoff pieces.
Never let go of those bags I collected back them. Choose them all after a lot of thought and my style did not change over time.

Fendi baguette and Fendy Spy I never considered as I thought they are too small for my liking.

I remember the Celine Luggage craze. For me, that was the last real 'it bag'.

MJ Stams were 'everywhere' where I lived. It seems that Chloe and MJ not only had many 'it bags' hits, but they often were quite heavy.

This will sound weird. But the ‘05 bag I want, and that I bought? Hermes Karo.

Cosmetic pouch by day, clutch by night. Colorful solid wall of stunning fabulous leather with simple snaps
May I ask what colour you picked? My friend has a cobalt blue* one that makes my heart skip beats!
*don't know the official H name for the colour

Right?! Céline totally was a thing. But I remembered also many haters seeing faces. 🤪 I always thought it is a beautiful bag (haha the stam also has a face - perhaps I like faces… 😂) and a classic. I still get compliments when I carry my Micro Luggage.

I think I have never seen a stam in real life besides my own… But back then they also were not available in Germany/Europe. Nowadays most US brands are available here in Germany… But you are so right. They were soooo heavy. My favorite bag back then was the Little Stam. Even that one was crazy heavy…

For me it was all about the Chanel classic flap. I put it as 00s even though it’s a classic because it was the bag that all celebrities had in 00s. I didn’t get it then, brought it years later when these

I then went onto purchase the following, way after
1. Celine Luggage
2. Dior Saddle (newer version)
3. Fendi baguette in mini, does this count?

I still love all of these handbags . I did consider getting the Balanciagia city, in the older version but can’t remember why I gave up on it.
