i feel so happy with my collection. i like to keep it small - under 10 bags total so i can use them. i hate to admit that i am holding on to 2 bags that i never use just because i love the style, leather & color. i love to use the same bag every day for months at a time, i generally do not switch often. i am not bored with any of mine now but i went through a huge buying then selling to fund another, then buying a few more here & there. i of course would love to have a chloe marcie hobo & a bottega veneta medium black veneta but that is just something to save up for & look forward to.

i am guilty of buying the same style bag in different colors....the rebecca minkoff mam - i have 5! i just love that style.

I love the hunt too! The harder the bag is to find the more i hunt. I am very strict with price points to so when i get a bag i love that ive paid a fraction of the retail price :) haha ive never done a ban, i really must try after i win this auction haha :roflmfao:

Im glad you like it, I'm enjoying hearing peoples opinions and experiences! Im glad your becoming content. As much as i love looking at chanel, prada and hermes i don't particularly want one, i dont think spending so much money would make me any happier really :)

Me too :) sounds like a wonderful collection! Im the same i used to bag any designer bag if it was cheap just to say i have this bag or that bag!! Ive definitely got wiser. I do often wonder if i could start my collection over again i do think it would be alittle diffrent to what it is now

I think I will be content. There are a few more bags that I want.

It's getting longer in between bag purchases because I am trying to fill specific niches, mostly for color. I've nearly talked myself out of light colored bags, so now it's about medium to dark colors.

I don't care to own bags that attract attention - I'd rather they be just interesting enough to compliment the outfit, except for the red one, of course. :D That one is for attention.

I have enough now that I expect my collection to last a very long time. I hope I never have to replace a bag in a hurry again! (Always hated that.)

Im the same im currently waiting for a bag to be delivered, ave brought a bag today and am bidding on another!! Sounds bag when i type it!! Im the same i set strict price points and 9 times out of 10 stick to it :) im getting better at only buying bags i like and will use that suit my life style.

I like that you have some in mind to look forward to but you seem content with your collection :) i think i was in too much of a rush to own all these bags and now ive slowed down and started to enjoy my collection more :) im clearer in what i would like to add and have stopped buying just to have more bags,

Im very similar to you ive only got a few more ( just 2) then i have all bases covered!! Yey. I would like to add some colour to my collection with RM macs and mulberry lilys though :)

Im glad you like it :) lol ive just done a list that details brand, style, colour and the year purchased so i know whats what, were very similar! Ohh my gosh you have an AMAZING and very diverse sounding collection, i definitely identify with the "high" you get when purchasing a bag :) but i do feel that ive become wiser when buying, only getting ones that will suit my lifestyle and that i know i will used (for example i have 3 mulberry bays) i think once i have the 2 bags left on my wish list plus maybe a few mulberry lilys and RM macs in bright colours to spice up my collection i may be content ?!? ...maybe :) i love if i dont know it i wont want it :)

I'm definitely at the stage I'm becoming content with my collection. I put a few rules on my collection because in the past I kept making purchases I regret.

The only problem with my collection is that I have bags that I want to sell but I cannot get buyers! I have 5 Oroton bags (I couldn't sell 75% off in as new condition) and 1 Rebecca Minkoff (I couldn't sell 50% off brand new). Tough market out there for some brands, and it makes me very selective on what I buy these days.

OP, this is a good question. I have been bag-obsessed since I was in my teens. With almost every bag, I eventually get bored and get rid of it, but my tastes have gotten increasingly expensive. I realize how silly this fixation is and am trying to stop, esp since a lot of my current bags don't get much use. Also, I have to do a better job of taking stock of what I have and only buying what I need instead of, whatever catches my eye. And, I need to find something else to obsess about :P

I had no idea RM would be so hard to sell! You can't get RM in my country and so I had to buy online, and the bag I got was a mistake in size. Another rule to buying bags: if you can't see it in person, don't bother buying it.
