I am positive! It also depends on the website you are looking at. On Bal's website they even state that the 42 is a size 8/10 and the 44 is a size 10/12 but this jacket is made small and that is what the sales staff at BalNY told me. I am 6'1" tall and wear a size 10 jacket. I am a 36C and I could not zip the size 42 over my boobs but the sleeve length was amazing on me. The sleeves will probably be very, very long on someone who is vertically challenged. Call the staff at any Balenciaga store and I am sure they will help you in finding the perfect fit. I went so far to even ask the gentleman I was speaking to to try the jacket on because he is just slightly shorter than I am and almost the same build.

I didn't even bother trying to go through Holt's because they have never come through for me when I have asked them to special order something. I also found that I could usually buy the same item for a lot less in the US (including duties and taxes) than buying the item from Holt's.

Anyone know if this just comes out the one time a year, or if I might be able to track one down towards the end of the year?
From all the research I have done when I started looking into this jacket, the last time they had it for sale was in 2007. At some point between then and Spring of this year they had a suede version. The leather version was in stores in July. I called BalNY at the end of Sept. and they only had two jackets left. The sales associate I spoke to told me they won't be getting any more. Obviously, he was wrong.
I don't know if the jacket will be warm or not because I sent mine back to exchange for another size and never wore it. It is heavier than the Rick Owens jacket and is lined throughout. I suppose it can be worn in the winter time depending on where you live. It gets really cold here in Toronto and I don't think I will wear it in January and February when the daily temp is below 0 degrees.
I personally didn't buy this jacket to keep me warm. It was more of a style choice for me.

the SA at the printemps told me that they have this perfecto leather jacket every season, the colors change from one season to another though. it's one size smaller than my normal clothes size, i am size 36 and the 38 of this jacket fit me.
i prefer it unzipped. the leather is very thick, therefore warm, but when zipped, i found it really tight and not as beautiful as when it was unzipped. this is my concern about this jacket, in winter i will be freezing with the zipper open.

And my beautiful black leather jacket - what I really, really, really love about the jacket is the black zippers - the jacket is truly ALL BLACK!
and the jacket fits me perfectly - at least as far as the jackets can fit perfectly. Fits perfectly around the waist, sleeves are great - nice long length which looks good, and I can zip up the jacket, but my bust is squished down - but if we follow the Nina Garcia philosophy, the jacket is not meant to be worn zipped all the way up anyway - and all the photos show it unzipped or partially zipped.

Doing dinner for DH right now - this jacket is going to look so great with all my Bals, but especially my black GCH city - the all black bag....I'll post up the measurements later for those who are wondering about the sizing.
