Beautiful photos of the jackets Balchlfen, fingers cross for you to get the 38 soon!

Pilatesworks, congrats on finding the 42 khaki!! You are great at finding the rare jackets :biguns:, you have to teach me your ninja abilities, LOL. I'm curious to see how you like the 42 khaki too compare to the khaki 40...:thinkin: If it is not too much trouble would you please measure the sleeve lengths on your black/silver '08 and the black/bronze '10, I have a crazy theory that I hope you can help with. Thank you!

patti35jewel, I can't wait to see what you decide. I vouch for keeping both too if possible, they are both great and you will have jackets for both the blacks and brown tones in your wardrobe. :ghi5:

Here is me in Edinburgh, Scotland with Canard jacket

Beautiful photos, Amazing jacket...gorgeous girl!!!!

I love all your pictures! So inspirational that I went ahead and ordered the jacket in both Black 2010 and Khaki 2009! :graucho:

I need a bit of advice though....after reading this thread and the other thread in the Clubhouse section, I went for a size 36. I am 110 lbs and 5ft 4" - UK size 6/8 and US size 2 so guessed the 36 would be fine. But boy do these jackets come up small! I can do the zip up on the 36 but it is very tight and not very flattering! lol!

Those girls that are similar size to me, can you tell me if the 38 is much bigger than the 36? I like my jackets tight so only need an extra inch and a half really..... plus I doubt I will wear the jacket done up much as it looks so good open! So should I stick with the 36? Decisions, decisions.......

The leather of the jackets is so different. 2009 is thicker and heavier and marks easily whereas the 2010 Black is amazingly soft and tactile but more lightweight. Colourwise, Khaki has it for me - it is the perfect colour for a biker jacket IMO and I imagine it will just get better and better with age!

I'll post pics of the jackets later for your enjoyment :D

I'm 5'5" 114 lb and I wear the size 36. I tried the 38 but it was big in the back. I personally would rather have it smaller than too big. I also never zip it up. The black one is gorgeous!!!! It's best to try the 38 so at least you have a choice.

One little modeling shot! :D

The khaki is soooo you...with your beautiful hair color. Congrats!!!

^^^ Thank you so much for the advice Eilene - very useful.

I imagine I will end up sticking with the 36 because I like a jacket to look snug and fitted. Plus I doubt I will ever want to wear the jacket done up because it looks so much better undone

Being quite small myself, if a jacket is even the slightest bit too big it can dwarf me.....especially on the shoulders.

I'll keep you posted ;)

Thanks again x

IDK if this has been discussed, but I was in Selfridges yesterday and I saw a "Marine" jacket, at least that is what the SA called it. It had chrome zippers not the brass ones, and he said this season whatever that meant. It was really beautiful!!! Has anyone seen this yet?

Nope...but it sounds beautiful! Crome is like silver, right? Bright & shiny?

Navy blue with silver zips? 09/10 Fall/Winter?

What size and how much?

I didn't even look at the price or size, because there was no way it was coming home with me. :crybaby: I REALLY liked the color!

If the shoe fits grab it! To me navy with silver zippers is the dark horse; it's the one I would have chosen given the opportunity but with these jackets those opportunities can be very few and far between.

Not as shinny as silver but yes in the silver family. It was also the normal zippers, not like the canard jacket.
Ohhhh...I can't wait to see the F/W colors!! IMO Blue with crome zippers would be AWESOME!!!!

Navy blue with silver in my book is just a fab as the black with silver, I'm evolving :D

But it's a good color for me!
Personally...I think the blue/Marine color would look great on so may people...kind of like a Jean jacket. I think the dark blue is very rich looking. I can't wait to see it!
