Maybe sell the black or keep both??? Will have to ponder this over the weekend. My black has been worn about 10-15 times since I got the replacement from DF. What to do???:shrugs:

The leather on this khaki is great. It is much softer than the 2009 navy I had tried but thicker than my 2010. It has no scratches yet...

That Khaki is just stunning......it looks like it is the perfect color for you, and I can say out of all my jackets the Khaki is the one that gets the most compliments.:D
( having said that , I would never part with either of my Blacks though! ):p
The fit looks just right too!

It WILL get scratched, and quickly. I just wore mine around the house and it was already showing marks.....But do not worry, that just adds to the Vintage look, so do not even think about it. ;)

Sooooo, are you ecstatic or WHAT ? :nuts:

Thank you for your help on sizing. I agree that the 2010 seems a little bit bigger than 2009 - not a full size bigger - but definitely half a size.

The 2010 leather is just amazing to touch isn't it! And it is lightweight. But my heart immediatey went to the Khaki - it's simply amazing! The one I have here has a few scratches but nothing I would worry about especially as I know it is meant to look vintage and will get even more worn looking as time goes on.

Still don't know what to do on sizing. I am worried if I get a 38 that it will be too big on my shoulders. But I do need more room on my waist and bust :shrugs: I am going to try a 38 before deciding what to do.....can't do that until next week so must be patient....

I will post pics of both jackets tomorrow (it's dark here already......)

Woo hoo!!! Congrats to you, patti!! 2009 Khaki is so beautiful, and it looks great on you.

I definitely think that you should keep both. Even though both colors pretty much match with everything, they each have a different "feel."

You will love your Khaki moto more every time you wear it. Enjoy! :smile1:

Against all odds, I too just found a 2009 size 42 Khaki at Bal Cosa Mesa yesterday!
Where are these 2009's coming from?!
I asked the Steve, the fantastic SA there that question and he said, "Who knows?" :D

I already have a size 40 in the 2009 Khaki.... it was the last one I could find in a larger size at the time. There were no 42's anywhere then!
It is slightly tight in the arms, and ever since I got my size 42 2008 Black, which is SOOOOO comfy, I started wondering if a 42 in the 09 Khaki would be better.
But of course I thought they were 100% sold out until patti35jewel found hers!
(And I just KNEW she would keep that one!)

Anyway, I called Bal Cosa Mesa yesterday and lo and behold, a size 42 09 Khaki had JUST come in!
Amazing, huh?
So I will get it on consignment next Thursday, and then I will know once and for all what size is better! ;)

Here are pics of the two jackets I received yesterday in size 36. As mentioned the jackets are a tad too small so I will be trying a size 38 to see if that's any better.....I have to wait until next week to do that :sweatdrop:

And Khaki 2009 - the one that stole my heart :love:

The leather is much different to the Black - thicker, heavier and much more distressed. See the marks on the jacket already? And it's brand new!

Yes, the leather on all the 2010 blacks I have seen is so amazing...I love all the texture and the softness of it! But I love the thickness of the 2009 khaki as well! Two very different jackets! :smile1:

I love both of them, they are so beautiful!
Bear in mind the Black 2010 will stretch, that leather is very supple. My size 40 Black 2010 fits perfectly, very much like my Black 2008 which is a size 42.....while my 09 Khaki size 40 is a bit tight in the arms.....
It will be interesting to see how the size 42 Khaki fits, in comparison!
