As long as it's a good quality and the price is right, I would buy it because it saves me some $ and the patina is there already. I don't mind patina, I just want it as even as possible.

same here =) ..when I shop I get like high after I purchase something... My aunt has a vintage Speedy 35.. its BEAUTIFUL! the pantina is gorgous!

I read that someone took one in a tanning bed w/them and it worked.

Anyways, I got my speedy 25 on eBay for $245 and its in perfect condition- it just has a nice honey colored patina.

It was my first LV and I wanted to use it as an everyday bag and not be freaking out about water spots, etc, like I would w/a brand new one.

I'm just gonna keep this speedy til the handles get really dark and then buy a brand new one. And I'll keep the old one to use places where it might get dirty- like an amusement park/vacations.
