All I can say, is that I understand and that I relate to everything you said.

In some ways it is like cars: once you own a Lexxus are you really going to go and buy a Civic? (mind you that I own a Honda, and have never owned a Lexxus - thank God.) :p

lol I own a Lexus and I know what you mean! LOL

I don't put my money towards cheaper bags because I figure I might as well save up until I can get that designer bag I really love. You've got to admit that between Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Hermes and others, there's really a designer monopoly over the really awesome designs. I mean, check out the Spy or Balanciaga. You're not going to find anything that stellar in a cheaper line... it's why the big fashion houses have the reputations they do.

Would you believe!
<-------Carried a mens wallet in my back pocket from 16-22 years old

In the manner of a year I went from hating the thought of dragging a purse all over...to having about 10 of them.

And this purse forum has "helped" me buy 3 Coach's in 2 months  NO MORE UNTIL SEPTEMBER!

I told myself I have to buy a really really big nice TV before I can get another purse.

Because I have champagne taste and beer pockets... but some how I manage to get that champagne..if that makes sense..
My DH teases me by saying I carry a $800 bag, with $5 dollars in it.

I used to buy Nine west bags and I have a collection of them as well, but now that my addiction with designer bags have started, well I still use my nine west bags coz of my work and I am okay using them on a daily basis....

hahahah, yeah exactly, especially if u a are a poor starving graduate student.. just like me.. oh no, is there a Baggaholic Anonymous for the shopaholic for bags here? just joke...

Okay, I know I have a bag addiction/hobby. However, there are other people out there with expensive hobbies such as horses, cars, skiing, collecting trains, etc.
I think this is a nice justification, but when I start adding up how much all my bags cost together, the number is ridiculous!
I am really trying to slow down, but I don't know if I can ever completely stop.

I have spent over three months of my salary in the last 2 months just on bags and that's really bad so now, I think my addiction needs to be placed on hold.. any suggestions anyone???

This is totally me. I so rarely carry cash. And I try to be good with the credit.

More of a wine lover than champagne, though. :D

DH was just this morning flipping through one of my weekly mags (Life & Style I think) and came across 2 pages of purses and, knowing my 'issue', was like "hey look at all these bags....$1700 for that one (Fendi) $1200 for that - wait, that looks like one you have!!" yikes - I"m thinking please just turn the page!! I told him yes, that one I sold and he said "oh, the one for $200?" (okay, so now he thinks my bags are $500 - we're gaining ground LOL!) --I've kind of cut the cost in half for him (buying and selling!).....but seriously, I have to be done for this year! Use what I have, love what I have....I have to keep telling myself that! I do agree it is a collection - and valuable....I just become so obsessed and 'have' to have whatever bag I'm lusting after at that moment....The weird thing is it definitely was in me starting around 18....first a small Gucci, then finding LV....and on and on....it's been a long road! And I guess being 42 it's apparently not going away - yet!:amuse:
