IMHO I would go with the smaller one, such a beautiful bag - but too beautiful to be carried with too much "stuff" in it. It's a gorgeous bag.

The Arabesque. No contest for me in this case. The Arabesque is gorgeous, and comes in red too!
LOVE the Arabesque Dionysus - it's stunning! This Dionysus is an edgier bag than the Padlock Tian. Both are gorgeous though (you have great taste!). Between them I'd choose the Dionysus because it's more my style and I love the Dionysus bag, but the colours of the beautiful Tian print are just lovely and it lifts any outfit, elegant or casual.

Thanks for your input. I am leaning towards the Dionysus! I had already paid for the Tian when I spied it on the shelf. Because I was in a hurry I told the SA I would take the Tian home to look at & see how it looked with my wardrobe. I plan to go back on Wednesday to compare the 2. I agree, you have fabulous taste in bags! Both bags you're choosing between are stunning, yet still have an air of classic sophistication that reveals your personal style. Both are special. Which would you wear more often? Howndo you plan to wear it... as a daily bag, weekend/ occasion bag, all year long bag?
I prefer the first one. For me its more iconic and suits in any dress you would wear. just my suggestion but both are really amazing!
I made my decision! I'm going with the Dionysus Arabesque! It will go with my wardrobe better. It probably won't be an everyday bag but I will use it more than the Tian. Besides I don't have many with the silver hardware.
It's a stunningly beautiful bag! You made a sound decision, as that bag is definitely more versatile. It's really lovely, and I agree about it complementing many more wardrobe options. Tian is beautiful too, but in a fun, colorful way. Congrats and enjoy your new beauty!
Good for you! The Arabesque has been out for quite a while but it's quite a piece, you're lucky they have one left.
Little too busy for anything in my wardrobe but you'll likely not see another one so you'll be unique!
Hubs picked up the Arabesque and brought it home. No doubt it's a beautiful bag but it is too heavy. Especially with my things inside. Looks like it has to go back. 
So.....back to the drawing board. Next I will try the Black Marmont with the gold studs in medium. Love my other Marmonts. So easy to wear and light to carry. I might also try another Dionysus in the Gucci print with the black suede trim. Any advice welcome!

I'll continue following this thread, as I'm having the same dilemma. I love the Tian, but don't know how versatile it actually is, especially in the larger size. The Arabesque is beautiful, but I'd prefer the Medium ( or smaller) size. You really do need to see the bags in person, try them on, etc. ...Hubs picked up the Arabesque and brought it home. No doubt it's a beautiful bag but it is too heavy. Especially with my things inside. Looks like it has to go back.
