Thank you for all your insight on this bag. I did see them both in person & tried them on (empty) but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to place all my things inside to see if it was going to be too heavy for me to carry and enjoy. I plan to go back on Thursday to try on again. Stay tuned!@Bijouxlady I've been considering the Gucci Tian Padlock Shoulder Bag for some time now and have tried on both sizes at the store. For me, the painted designs are equally stunning on both sizes and I can understand why you're having such a hard time deciding between the two. For a while, I was set on getting the bigger sized version partly because I thought it looked more like a painting when compared to the smaller bag, which seemed less well composed. But in the end, I think I might still go for the smaller version

When I took a closer look at the bag in store, I noticed that the painted design on the smaller bag appeared more even spread across the canvas, whereas the larger sized version showed off a lot more of the GG coated canvas print. Another consideration was the actual weight of the bags. Personally, I find Gucci's new collection with the gold chains very well made but a bit on the heavier size too. Although I liked that the bigger purse has ample space for all my stuff, I think it would be awfully heavy once filled
. If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend that you visit your Gucci store and just pick up the bag to have a feel for it. As much as the painted design is important in helping with your purchasing decision, I think the size and weight of the bag needs to be factored in just as well
Can't wait to hear your thoughts! The larger size is no longer available on Gucci site and the smaller size is sold out on Saks site. Both have their pros and cons, but that print is So Beautiful!
I love the red trim on the small one but not sure if it would be practical even though I don't think I would carry the large one everyday.
I think I am leaning towards the large one. When I tried them on I think it looked better on me even though it was heavier. I'm not a huge shoulder strap person. Could it be carried? My Marmont is also cross body so it works great.
HELP! I went in to pick up the Tian & spotted this one! This one is called the Arabesque bag. IRL it is gorgeous. Looks like black leather on lace. I had thought about getting another Marmont in black but what are the thoughts & opinions on this one??
