I don't find it difficult to get in and out of the bag. I usually leave the zipper open anyways. Here are few pics of me with the bag (it doesn't really go with what I am wearing but I didn't feel like changing:laugh: ):

That bag looks nice on you. I think I want the black MC now!!

Don't have an Alma but I want one BAD!!! Maybe should have started saving for one rather than buying a second Speedy!
Man.. the place is bad.. everytime I think I kick a bag off my "I-want" list.... someone will start a thread and the bag will go right back on to the list again!!!!

I can kinda see why as I did think it wasn't young and trendy but I want one. I thought it looked good on both young and older women and there are not as many bags that looks good on older women so maybe that's why.

I have the mandarin epi alma. It's my only epi bag. I was surprised how smooth and flexible the leather is. I really like it. And I love the matching alcantara lining and how roomy it is. My bag advisor (7-year-old son) ranks this bag his #2 most favorite handbag out of all my handbags. He even helped me pick out the color -- mandarin instead of the new red. His #1 favorite is my black mulitcolore speedy  .

I love my Mono Alma....I bought it because I love the shape and how much it carries!

Satine.....if you want to sell your Jasmin, let me know!

I LOOOOOVE the Alma, this and the Speedy are my favourite classic Vuitton bags.. but I find the Alma much more functional than the Speedy, I can never find anything in my Speedy (it's a 30) whereas I keep the Alma open mostly, or just half closed, and the access is very easy... My only regret is that I bought a TOTAL Vacchetta bag, and although I'm not one who worries too much about the Vacchetta, it does have several stains , so now I wish I had bought an Epi one instead... Anyway, the Alma IMO is great bag....;) :D

I did not like the way the zipper operns up the whole purse. I always was afraid I would loose something.

I feel the same way. I do love the shape of the Alma, but do not like how the whole purse opens up when you open the zip. I don't think it's an "old lady" bag though! :p

You look great with your alma! I better start wearing my damier alma soon. She is yet to be used since I bought it last month.

I considered selling my Alma, but like everyone else, I think that the shape will become one of the classics.
I love the bag. It goes with everything from the most casual jeans outfit to the most dressed up suit.

I agree that it's not for old ladies...my mono Alma was my first LV...it's the purse that got me hooked in the first place...I am not crazy about the vachetta bottom, but I love that it doesn't sag like the speedy...

I have a mandarin Alma. I got it on ebay practically brand new. I love it. I think it's a real classic shape, and it's so roomy. Everything fits and is easily accessible.

I think I would like some more Alma's, maybe Damier next.

I know many ppl here in Europe find it old ladyish because of the classic, and not too youthful design, but I've seen ladies of all ages carry it.

Actually, what surprises me is that ladies in their 20's or 30's usually carry the Mono or Damier one but ladies in their 40's or 50's carry the Multicolore version. That's kinda cool IMO!
