Who else is over “stacking” jewelry?

I stack bracelets sometimes, depending on the style. But I rarely stack necklaces because I haven't figured out a good way to keep them from getting tangled at the clasp (for chain styles)! I can go either way on it -- I do think sometimes it takes away from a single, striking piece but there are certain people who look great in it & seem to have mastered the look.

I stack things sometimes - a couple bracelets, and I have a few rings with bands that are so thin they feel too big/like I'm going to lose them by themselves. I can never get stacking necklaces right though - they always get tangled!

I wear an 18kt YG multiple dbty choker 24/7 so when I want to wear another necklace I have no choice but to stack! Luckily it looks nice & I only ever add one necklace.

I wear a thin Love & dbty bracelet 24/7 as well but that’s it. It’s such a dainty look that I hardly consider it to be a stack!

I'm not particularly careful with my jewellery but I also don't stack. Max, a couple of Gucci bangles. I also don't wear a bracelet on either wrist if I'm wearing a watch. I think it's also because I like rings, sometimes lots, one on each finger (not stacked on one) you can't do everything all at once unless you want to impersonate a Christmas tree.

One of my all-time favourite looks is bangle-d-up Nancy Cunard in the 1930s with the leather jacket and many, many bangles. I think bangles work better (to my eye) than bracelets/watches.

I really, really don’t care for the look. It’s gaudy and overdone to me. Seeing a tennis bracket with a VCA with a Tiffany T and 2 Cartier loves (or insert whatever 3, 5 or 7 bracelet combo) just looks plain silly and schizophrenic to me. Better to pick the one stunning bracelet perfect for your outfit and move on. I think less is more.

That being said, I don’t think it’s any kind of fashion faux pas for people to stack. To me this really lives in the bullseye of do want you want.

I've never understood stacking. I guess you could say I've always been over it! Like others have said, I think it takes away from the individual pieces and cheapens the overall look.

I love jewellery and wear some daily but I do often find it annoying to wear even one of each type, so to have multiple stacked would kill me. Could never do it for rings as I can barely handle wearing one ring due to very sensitive fingers. With bracelets I much prefer to wear one overall or one on each wrist - something dainty so it doesn't irritate me while I'm typing at work. The tiffany bead bracelet is perfect for that. Anything more and I can't stand it. I will only wear 2 on one wrist when I'm combining this delicate chain bracelet with a bangle that's just a bit too big and needs something else to stop it. As for necklaces I think one is definitely enough and I'm surprised everyone doesn't get their stacks tangled! My sister tried to wear 2 necklaces for the first time and they ended up tangled and then when she tried to untangle them one of them broke! It's also a worry to have two pieces rubbing against each other and creating scratches. So overall, I am very against stacking.

But to each their own. Yes, I'm sure it makes jewellers happy to see there is a stacking trend

I love it either way. I have stack rings, and I have multiple chains and bracelets that I wear together. However, I also have necklaces, rings and bracelets that I would never stack, simply because it would look tacky and it would ruin the pieces.
