Who else cannot see the beauty of Damier Ebene?

Seems there are more DE lovers responding to your thread and I'm no exception. My first and favorite bag was the DE Speedy B 25. But I suppose I can see how some just see a bland, brown checkered bag. It is so beautifully understated and lux in my eyes.

Actually I like DE, it‘s quite nice and carefree. But it’s no beauty for me. Everytime I see mono or DA with its vachetta against it, I find it a hundred times more beautiful!
So yes, I have DE, but yes I also cannot see the beauty to 100%

I admire DE from a distance but not enough to buy one. I have pieces in Epi, kono and DA. Sometimes I see DE and I am drawn to it, other times not.

I love my DE a speedy 35. It is a workhorse and I like that it’s more understated than the mono. Zero worries in bad weather. Don’t get me wrong I love the mono print and think it’s beautiful too.

I love the DE print because I don't always want to run around flashing logos everywhere. It's more understated and casual.

Another vote for DE being their favorite print! I know that some like to argue that DE is just as recognizable and “flashy” as monogram but I disagree and find it to be more understated and versatile, which I like. I’m just not into monogrammed bags from any designer. My husband put up a stink when I bought my first monogram LV bag (a Neo Noe) but I didn’t hear a peep about my DE Eva Clutch.

My first LV I bought myself in college was a Speedy 30 in DE. I did not want to deal with vachetta and patina, plus the DE felt sophisticated to my 20yo-self. I sold it a decade later, but DE remains just slightly above Monogrm as my favorite LV canvas. It’s more subtle and seems deeper in color. I find Monogram too busy or loud at times, so DE is a great alternative.

Another one here that loves DE Mine are my go to for travel, rain or anywhere I don’t want to take an obvious LV. I also love the colors of the DE

I wish they used the same colors as in the monogram print for the DE squares. I like them so much better but despise vaschetta so I'm always on the fence of which to get

Hello, all. I need your advice on damier ebene eva clutch
i thought i lost mine and when we were turning over the house for cleaning, i found it! However, with 5 years+ of it not properly stored, the print started to fade, and it's like the ebene print is breaking down into powder. The zipper is full of molds and it got stuck i cant open it.

I live in Asia and it is very humid here.

Did this happen to you? Are Damier Ebene prints break down in humid places?
