Who doesn’t keep their authenticity card?!

I am sure this has been discussed here in the purseforum before but I could not find the thread - but do you keep the authenticity card in your bag when you take it out? I am scared that if my bag gets stolen (knock on wood!), then they have the authenticity card as well. What I do is that I keep all my authenticity cards in one "card book" (the ones with clear fillers and you can just insert cards in them), and put a label next to the cards to easily identify which bag. Sounds like a lot of work but it is fun actually.

I keep my cards in the love letter compartment in my flap bags. In my non-flap bags I keep them in the zippered compartment. I like you idea better

I would definitely buy a bag without a card, especially if it was an older, limited edition bag. Lack of card is not proof of inauthenticity.

I take a photo of my receipt with the bag when I buy a bag (I mainly buy Hermes). I have found that receipts fade over the years rendering the receipts worthless (if they are actually worth anything anyway as they can be faked like anything else). For me, it's more for insurance purposes if something is lost or stolen. Authenticity cards can be photographed if you are worried about misplacing it.

I tend throw out my boxes, but always keep the dustbags (bags are stored in them anyways) and receipts. There is an authenticity card or two that I misplaced, as they are less important to me then receipts.

I almost lost mine. I threw them in some random box with the receipt where I collect receipts with higher amounts. I'm happy I found them again, but I do not go out of my way to keep them as I don't intend to sell them. If I buy preloved receiving the card is not a must as long as I can get it authenticated by a credible source and the price is good.
