Who doesn’t keep their authenticity card?!

I keep all my dust bags, boxes, authenticity cards, and tags if I’ve been given them. I’m usually pretty meticulous about those things but I’ve been organizing my closet so much and moving things around that I have lost track of which dust bag was for what. Some of them have authenticity cards in the bag or the box or the dust bag. Lol. I’m sure I have it all but I guess life happens.

Is there a way to flatten the boxes?

Not that I know of.

Yes, they can be flattened I’ve been given many empty boxes over the years from my boutique and they come flat, you basically assemble them yourself. However, after flattening them, you might have to add some new glue stripes if you want to use them again (glue stripes are what keeps the parts together).

I usually asked my purchases to be without the boxes just because we live in a tiny house with a minimal amount of storage

I’ve been looking for flaps and reissues and I’m shocked how many don’t have dustbag or cards. I can understand how the box could get lost but even then- who would throw out a chanel box?! I find it hard almost everyone who sells to resellers loses these cards. Some even say they were the sole owner but threw the card and receipt away. Hard to believe to be honest.

I keep the cards myself and dust bag +box but I totally understand people who do not keep them. Chanel boxes are just boxes!
And seems people who are reselling tier bags without having the the auth. card didn't think about reselling when they purchased their bags.

I keep all of my receipts and auth cards in a special box. I too can’t fathom just throwing them away. I would never buy anything without the auth card or dustbag. I can live without the box

I kept all of my boxes until recently. I tossed a number of Louis Vuitton boxes because it was just too much. I keep receipts, dust bags, and authenticity cards for all of my bags. I do not have authenticity cards for two of my vintage Chanel bags, but don't care too much as I don't plan to sell and I bought them from a very reputable source.

I’ve recently purchased a Trapezio bag from a trusted store. The authenticity card looks almost identical to my WOC and coin purse, but the numbers are slightly finer with one number slightly out of alignment higher up)

Is this an issue?

I don’t keep my boxes at all, lack of space really. once the purchase become more regular, they don’t seem to be that important anymore.

I try to keep the card, by placing it with other paperwork.. but then end up not remember where they both are! I think it’s more odd to lose the dustbag...but I can see that’s more likely for bags that’s been frequently used.

I've lost one of mine in my flat and no trace of it. I was taking a picture of it for insurance purposes and have no recollection where I put it - not where I'd expect it to be
I'm moving houses soon so if it's not found then gone forever...

I just keep the card with the bag ‍♀️. I am making a catalog of the bags with the cards for reference.

I always put my authenticity card inside the bag (on a pocket or so). And then, put the bag inside the original dustbag and the original box if there's any.
