I can't imagine anyone seeing them in person and not falling in love with the soleste design! They sparkle like MAD! I'm ALWAYS drawn to the yellow ones (I haven't seen the white in person - will look next time I'm in!) but the embrace is stunning!

I know!! It's soo lovely! I think we are the yellow diamond soleste's two biggest fans lol. I love the embrace too but I think I like the bead set one more! But the price difference between the two is just insane! The bead set is basically a round legacy so I guess there is more milgrainingetal work that justifies the big price jump??

Hopefully the soleste will be not be discontinued. I always worry about that especially because I'd like a little soleste for me! I know Tiffanys often discontinues select pieces. Hopefully the soleste is here to stay!

Oh I definitely think the soleste is here to stay! Not only do they have the round soleste in white diamond, they have it in colored stones, not to mention the white and yellow diamond cushion cut rings, pendants, earrings, etc. This style is very hot right now and the turn over rate for the pieces are quite fast. I never see the same ring sit in the case for very long; it's either transferred out or sold. So I constantly get to see new rings in different sizes, colors, etc at my local Tiffany!

I just left a message for SA at Tiffanys to check their stock. My friend looked at the .44 VVS1 in "F" color for about $6150 (not the yellow). I wonder if i can get one for closer to $5,000 that is not a VVS1 and a "G" or "H". And maybe a .40.

SA got back to me. She has a .39 soleste that is "I" color but still VVS1. So she dropped size and color but kept the VVS1. I would have preferred just dropping VVS1 and color grade and stayed closer to the size of .44. And the .39 one is $4,900 as compared to the $6,100 one described at beginning of this thread. Your thoughts? I left her a message and said I'm not interested in VVS1 and to please try to find a VS1 or even S1 that is around .40 to .44. Will keep you posted!

The size difference between .39 and .44 is not that much...if anything, the double halo will probably mask the .05 difference. It also depends on how the ring is made as well...I've seen a .75 that was the same size as a .64 because the halo on the .64 was "flatter" and more spread out while the .75 halo was more layered so they ended up being roughly the same size. So don't rule out the .39 until you actually see it!

I found the old pics I posted in my sola thread. Man it was tough, that thread is so cluttered and long! Lol.

Anyway, I got the numbers confused but i remember it was a .11 difference. I was comparing a .68 to a .77. They both looked the same size because of the halo, but you can see that the .77 has a slightly larger center stone. I think it was more visible because the diamond is yellow but for a colorless diamond, it would probably be a negligible difference esp if it's only .05!

I know. I have to see it! On my way out the door to go ice skating with darling hubby, 10 yr old daughter and 19 yr old son. 16 yr old son on plane to sunny 80 degree southern Florida. Anyway, hopefully I won't break a leg as i haven't ice skated in about 15 years. Looking forward to reading more responses on this thread when I get home tonight. I really think - as ame described - VVS1 is overkill. There must be VS1 out there!

Thanks kohl for pulling that up but link isn't working for me. I totally take your word for it though. And on a smaller center in white, I think the difference will be negligible as well.

I adore the Soleste, I agree with you Hoka that the first halo isn't as apparent as the second halo. I actually really like that because it seems its coming from underneath the diamond instead of being so separate & apparent that it would look like a flying saucer! Tiffany's did an amazing job with the setting on this ring all around, I love that there isn't an airline between halos and diamond at all!

I actually tried on a bigger Soleste a few days ago, I'll post a pic my hubby took for me. The center stone is 2.62 I believe but to us it looked A LOT bigger. I wear a size 9 and it covered a lot of my finger. This ring was a size 6 so obviously it did not fit my finger but you can get an idea of how huge it is! It almost looked bigger than my 3ct oval which also has a halo!

That is amazing! Ive fallen in love with the soleste, but I'm worried a out a double halo. I'm going to look next week. It's so beautiful in that size!
