I have mine for a few weeks and take it off for sleeping.. It is a kind of stressful process to put it on and off I have to say.. And I hope I make this right! I will show how I do this to my SA this weekend to make sure I have the right technic!
I also noticed that it gets easily caught in my clothes.. Specially in wool jackets (which I love). Maybe because it is a loose fit? Anyway, I am a little careful with it now but don’t regret my purchase so far.
However, the SA at Cartier told me this is a delicate piece of jewelry so I was warned at the time of purchase I would say. It is not a bracelet I consider to be worn 24/7, not in my case at least :)

I’ve worn mine for about a year and a half 24/7 and have had no issues whatsoever. But I wear mine with the nail head facing my hand and the tail towards my love bracelet. So I think that helps it not get caught on things.

I was worried that the weight of the love bracelets would make the juc bend out of shape, but so far so good.

Hopefully they can fix yours for you

Yikes! The whole nail head just broke off? That must have made your heart sink! I've read that it's best to keep the pointy nail facing towards your inner wrist and this will eliminate it getting caught on clothes. I bought mine snug so it doesn't move much and am hoping that keeps it from twisting around and snagging onto things.

I do not have the small juc but have tried it in store and am planning to buy in the future. I am confused what everyone means by ‘open’ position. The SA just slipped it on. I don’t think you are supposed to move the nail tip over the head. Is that what is happening? Could that be causing all these breaks? I am confused and concerned. Thanks for explaining!

You are meant to kind of twist it on and then it wraps around and snaps into place, I couldn't slip it on unless I got a really big size. The 'open' position means when the nail head passes over the other part of the bracelet. It happens naturally if it gets caught on something, there isn't really a way to avoid it. I think it breaks because it is quite a delicate bracelet and it's not solid. It can be in the open position and then twisted to close really easily without breaking it

The twisting to take it on and off worried me. My SA was recommending the small since it’s dainty but my wrists were all red trying to practice putting it on and off. I ended up buying the normal size JUC because I’m afraid I’d get a small one bent out of shape.

Broke!!?? Wow.

My SA said she was saving up for the small with diamonds. I have to imagine she wouldn’t be interested in the juc if she saw a lot of them being damaged. She has been with Cartier a long time.
I had 2: one with diamonds and one without. The one without is the one that broke after getting caught on my workout bra. I still have the one with diamonds and occasionally, gets caught on my clothes even though I am extra careful with it. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t have bought any of the smaller JUC. Love that it’s lighter but it’s far too delicate. After all, it’s basically a hollow wire.

Mine is on its way back from repair and should arrive on Monday. I saw someone wearing it when I was shopping earlier this week and it re-ignited my love for it (even though mine broke too). Let’s hope I have better luck with my JUC 2.0
