hi nydiana, thanks for the suggestion to check out other brands however, ive seen the chanel J12 and for some reason i dont really like it. Cant seem to think of any other watches im keen on at the moment besides these two!:p

I did not know that the cartier ballon bleu came in an all white version, i only saw the two-tone one in stores. Will go check that out! the idea of changing straps is a brilliant suggestion!

as for whether i should get a FUN watch, i agree with chaz that the cartier is probably a better long term investment..LV is cute but i think it would not transition well from day to night..THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE! im gonna think about it for a few more days:tup:

A couple of pics of mine, which are incidentally all white, steel, as I do find it very versatile and a bit younger looking(who am I trying to kid at 42!!!lol!!!)I put my mid-size in too as a bit of a photo reference of a size guide for you as the Cartier is a round watch it might help?XXXXX

Go to the Cartier website. They've even got one in diamonds. LOL. If I'm not mistaken, it comes in pink gold as well, that one I think would go well with the younger crowd than the all gold one.;)

YEAH;) ive just checked out the cartier website..unfortunately the white gold one only comes in the bigger size which would not suit me as my wrists are tiny! and most importantly, the white or pink gold one would probably be a lot more expensive than the stainless steel and gold two-tone one..I dont wanna spend that much too, so if i do get the ballon bleu its gonna have to be the two toned one.

Yes, I just noticed that too. Sorry!
Ahh.. but there's a small model of the white gold one.. with DIAMONDS.. okay, never mind. Beyond budget.
Ask the price for pink gold, might not be as expensive as you think.:graucho:

Another vote for the Cartier here! It's very classic and timeless. Although I'd probably wouldn't choose the two-tone one. But that's just personal preference! I think it'd look killer in all stainless steel or whatever the silvery metal is.
