I agree!!Hands down the first one. I have the same ring and after so many years, I still love it. I love the fact that it's simple and timeless. If you ever want extra jazz, you can always add another diamond band whenever you feel like it.
Well, you're gonna get scratches. No matter what you wear next to it, metal on metal is gonna scratch. I prefer the channel band, I don't like how wide the other band is with your e-ring, too wide and takes a lot away from your stone. You could try that curved Elsa Peretti band, if you wanted. But I think the channel is good.
I love the chanel set ring. It looks just "right" proportion with your ering, while your emerald cut ring is somehow not "in balance" with it.
Well, at long as the rubbing of two platinum pieces does not totally displace the curve of the prong base, then I'm fine. I was looking at my ring through the loupe and got paranoid when I saw some scratches.....Ouch! But you're right.
I do like the look of the two bands together without the e-ring. I think I'll stick with the Tiffany channel band with the e-ring since they go better together. Then probably add a few thin bands if I need more blings. I remember you didn't like the idea of getting another Tiffany channel band and wear them on both sides of the e-ring. I haven't look into the curved Elsa Peretti band yet, maybe the next time I stop by Tiff.
LOL! Apparently, no one so far like the channel set e-ring, not even my SA.
I have to sleep on this one. DH really likes the classic look of a single solitaire. He said the channel set is too busy and prefers that I stay with the classic. He prefers the simple look.
