LOL! Apparently, no one so far like the channel set e-ring, not even my SA.
I have to sleep on this one. DH really likes the classic look of a single solitaire. He said the channel set is too busy and prefers that I stay with the classic. He prefers the simple look.

I like the look of the classic solitaire on you the best. That setting really brings out the diamond... and what a diamond!
I was in the opposite situation - I was dead set on a channel set e-ring until I (1) saw the solitaire modelled on TPF and (2) tried it on at Tiffany. Compared to the solitaire, the channel set looked too busy and definitely detracted from the centre stone. My partner and the SA were unanimous with choosing the classic setting. It was a surprise with the SA as the channel set is significantly pricier and I expected her to push that one. Maybe the previous places I went to had dodgy SAs
I love love love my channel set band on my engagement ring... But it was what I wanted from the start! You can't go wrong either way but I personally love the extra sparkle!
I like both settings, but I really think the solitaire is the best setting for showcasing your gorgeous diamond. The channel setting kind of pulls my attention away from the center diamond, which I'm sure is what you want to be the main focal point.
I know and you're right, it does look very busy but sparkling, but I don't know which diamonds to focus on when I stare at the ring. In the end, and because I have to tell my SA today, I've decided to keep the solitaire. This way I can buy more bands to change the look whenever I wish. There are so many to choose from and you can go crazy picking and choosing. There are no real rules against owning more than one diamond band, LOL! This will make my husband's wallet pretty empty.

You should get the solitaire if that's what you love. You are going to find it is difficult to decide when you go to Tiffany after seeing all those beautiful rings on display. I tried every pieces before narrowing in down to two. Obviously, I cannot buy two so I had to decide on the solitaire. It was a tough decision to make. The funny thing is the SA I work with is very sweet and patient with me. She could had made more money if I had chosen the channel set or the halos, but no, she gave her honest opinion and said the solitaire looks the best on me.
