I know....my SA convinced me too! With so much detail, it is a beautiful design. When you and SparkleLisa ride by in your chariots, I'll salute you :salute::salute:

hahah...just jump on board!!

Hello again, scarf beauties! I have to admit, I am posting this with tongue in cheek. But I do love the beautiful jacquard, and this scarf is screaming '90s like no other (Basic Instinct, anyone....:lolots:)...... It makes my day at the office a lot more fun today.

Oh, this is glorious!! I love it and will now look for the bees-knees beauty!

Herbier de Gavarnie (1994)

I havent worn this in about a decade but it's the sec ond H I ever bought so I'm sentimental about it. (I lost the first H I bought.)

Oh Seton, I too adore this braided lovely tie! Wow!

Hi Ladies..

Sweetie, I am so sorry you have been ill. You look smashing!

Okay Ladybaga, I took her out today! The design puts me on the floor. It is my first BLUE shawl. Brand new in box 2008 Voyage en Etoffes. Pictures do it no justice. I am twins with Pierina and counsin to Flava!!

Yes, I agreed with Ladybaga. Very chic knot!! Seton, can you share how to do it when you have time later? It will take me years to try to copy on my own.

I am not sure that I can. I am a tempermental ty-er so I tie the way I am feeling that day but basically, I did the H fold, then I made a loop to the left of the middle by accident.

I decided then and there to work with that loop so I went in front of the mirror and put it around my neck.

I took the longer end and put it thru the loop. Then I slowly tightened the loop around the longer end so that both ends are now hanging the same length down my chest. I recommend that u do it slowly so that the fluffyness of the loop is the way u want it and u adjust accordingly.

You can leave your scarf at this step and it would be secure but I decided to tie the ends.

Afterwards, about 3-4 inches of the ends were left hanging. I tucked them under. You can see where the ends are since they are red. I think u can separate the ends and tie the ends around the scarf if u want too. HTH.

Thank you seton! Your instructions were very detailed and clear. I always think of scarf wearing/tying as so philosophical: Much like how you can't step in to the same river twice; one can never tie the same scarf the same way twice! It is "art of the moment." ;)

YES!!! Thanks so much, Prof Seton...:D I will try it tomorrow.

Dear all,

how about a theme week with Gavroche scarves? I have a few small Bride de Gala which I love.

You can post whatever you like, it doesn't always have to be 'on theme'.

A lot of us share your love of gavroches and post them too .I think the themes have been worked out a while ahead anyway , Tango Tosca has been kind enough to organise that .
