It is a bit rainy today and should be all week, so I will have to post old pictures of my Asian theme scarves. So sorry that many of you have seen these already. I promise to post something original once the sun comes out to play!
Ballade de Heine, 2 colorways of Ex Libris en Kimonos, Sichuan, and Esprit Ainou. Thanks for letting me share!

AHA! New haircut, right?

2013 is Year of the Water Snake. The color of Water in Five Elements system is related to Black. Therefore we can say 2013 is a Black Water Snake year....and here are my Asian themed scarves :
Legende Moghole , Aux Portes du Palais , Ballade de Heian ,Chasse en Inde,
Fantaisies Indiennes ...
Thank you for letting me share !

Such a beautiful collection!

Hermesick What a collection, every one a work of art . Love all the Asia and India scarves and wish there could be some reissues.

Thank you Frou Frou ! Yes, for example the Turandot could be reissued....As far as I remember, you have this beautiful red one.
Turandot is on my radar now but I am not sure about the proper cw for me.

Thank you seton! You are always so complementary of my scarves. I am truly flattered!

Be still my heart! :cloud9::heart::loveeyes::love::hbeat: Needless to say, I am in love with this shawl, bag combo! You look lovely in your coral pink lipstick! Most definitely, Chanel and Hermes are in cahoots with one another!:p
Your Chanel make-up event sounds like fun.

Thank you, you are too kind Ladybaga. :hugs: The Chanel event was alot of fun. They had one of their national makeup artists there, a very nice guy named John Fussell. His approach for aging eyes is "architectural" - assessing the bone structure and so on, then figuring out where to use dark/light colors to emphasize the good, and do nothing to attract attention to the worse parts. He put dark color where I used to deacdes ago, but stopped because the general wisdom is not to do that as you get older. But as he pointed out, with deep-set eyes the only space to work with is underneath and at the corners.

Anyway, it reminded me of design class, except that was landscape and not eyes! Lots of fun, as you said.

Wow, you are fearless and fantastic in those bright colors!! The red shirt, wowee!! Terrific, just really terrific Ladybaga. :woohoo: Also just love your new theme week beauties. Especially the last two, gorgeous turquoise. And the earrings! swooning here......

All four are lovely, and you look nothing short of gorgeous in all .
My heart goes with Esprit Ainou it just seems to be in such harmony with your look.
All the others are very popular and sought after, but this one seemed to come and go without much clamour. As artworks the EL en K and Ballade are extraordinary, yet for me the EA is the most beautiful when tied.

Thank you frou frou! Last year, I actually taught about the Ainou of Japan. A fascinating history! (Of course, I wore my scarf when I taught the lesson! :smile1: ) My DH picked this out for me when he was in NYC for work in the summer of 2011. I think it was a S/S2011 offering. It is very similar in coloring to my Sichuan, and my turquoise PdM, so I think for this colorway, I am all set. Thank you, again!

I need John's number! ;) One thing I neglect is taking time to really work on make-up skills. I slap it on and run out the door! (I do wear moisturizer and wash my face, but make-up has always been my downfall. I had a sun/age spot zapped the other day, but what I also need is some better foundation.)
Thank you so much for your sweet complement! That red shirt has gotten a lot of wear over the last couple of years! Looking back at my posts, it seems like I only own one shirt!

So gorgeous LB!!! :). Old pics or not.. They're all beautiful. Glad you're reposting bc I've never seen them before :)

Thank you so much jp! :smile1: I remember when I first started on the great Hermes silk voyage and many of our lovely ladies would pull pics from their archives. I thought, wow, I wonder if I would ever have enough scarves/pics to actually have an archive.....Three years later, and I do believe I have an "archive." :graucho:

I think u look even better in coral than u do in pink! that chanel lipstick is just dreamy. the bolide aint bad either.;)[/QUOTE]

Thanks seton! Warmer pinks work better, which led to trying coral. Love this Bolide too, I have to say. :smile1:

My Saturday ritual again, playtime with my scarves. My new year collecting resolution is to collect more black/white/brown/purple and I think I need to stick with that.
Inspired by Pierina2's yummy pics of her turquoise silks, I'm sharing some of my favorite black/white silks this weekend. And, do you guys know last Friday was the "Wear Red Day"?

The quintessential scarf for a lace-lover - Doigts de Fee - among the two Cathy Latham's designs that I love - the other one is Brandebourgs

The workhorse CSMC - I own this design only in monochromatic cws: cobalt blue and this

The favorite A. Honore design ;) - Must-have for sepia scarf lovers

These all look wonderful on you, Chestnutty! Especially Doigts de Fee. It is exquisite in this colorway. How fun to have a collecting goal. Happy hunting!

MY TF shawl awakes spring feelings during the dark winter months....my best companion these days.....

Happy Sunday !

Thank you for the Cavalcadour appreciation. Yes, your Tendresse is like a little bit of a summer day, especially with that terrific blue coat. Makes me smile to see you in those colors, Hermesick! :D

Your theme week group of silks is fabulous! Love the orange and pink Temari, will you do action shots of some of these this week, of you have time?
