I really think that we're going to have to rename it the "Beloved Allan" scarf!
In Austria and Germany, St. Nikolaus is celebrated this weekend. Many children put a boot outside the front door on the night of December 5 to December 6. St. Nicholas fills the boot with gifts and sweets, and at the same time checks up on the children to see if they were good, polite and helpful the last year. If they were not, they will have a tree branch (rute) in their boots instead. Sometimes a disguised Nikolaus also visits the children at school or in their homes and asks them if they have been good (sometimes ostensibly checking his golden book for their record), handing out presents on a per-behaviour basis.
We celebrated at the grandparents house with all children from the family and I got a present from him too(my first SS09 silky Confettis d'Ex Libris)

I love "yummy mummy"! A perfect description for MaiTai. But, I must say - you're looking pretty yummy yourself!
Vanmiracle--you look so beautiful and festive in your Portes des Palais. I have that scarf in the same colorway, and I just might have to use it for Christmas. I love how many colors it looks good with--I even think of getting another colorway, because it may be one of the most useful designs I've come across.

Mai Tai, your post brought such a smile to my face, you see I'm a horticulturalist with a beautiful garden on a wooded lot, and I know exactly what you mean about the war with leaves. It seems every year the leaves and I battle time and time again and yet in the end we just call a truce until next year. I must say you certainly are a most stylish warrior!
