My Dior draw string, the color started to come off after first use, I was all red just wearing it. Took it back to the boutique, they send it to reseal it and when it came back it did the same thing:-( it's been sitting in the closet for some years now.

My Chanel Boy Bag! The corners scuff like crazy and it scratches like mad. The price of getting lambskin I guess. Love it nonetheless, but don't tend to reach for it as often as I want to.

My SLP SDJ. I love it, but I wear it crossbody, and on the back, tiny white spots started developing like the dye was rubbing off and the leather on the corners is chipping off. This started within six months of owning it.

Coach Madeline Satchel. I think I got a defective one. The shoulder strap clasps kept unlatching so I dropped the bag twice. The structure of the bag made noise whenever I opened it, and the zipper stuck so I had to force it close.

It was so cute though, but I was afraid of dropping the bag with the shoulder strap. Had to give it away and warn the new owner to not use the shoulder strap.

By Malene Birger Grinolas. Priced around 350 euros, and after a short period of use the corners had holes in them and pieces were coming off, the print was losing color here and there and BMB accepted absolutely NO responsibility. No refund, no return, no replacement.
For higher end bags, a Mulberry Ledbury had faulty inking that melted on its own. Luckily M fixed the problem for a reasonable price. Would've preferred a free repair though, since others with the same issues had gotten free repairs for their bags I guess the "new Mulberry" doesn't really give a poop about their old customers with classic bags...

I've had good luck with bags, even the white (!?) Preppy Hillier Hobo that even now I look at and thing WTF COLDSTEEL so what if you got an employee discount THE BAG IS WHITE and I've had it for around four or five years at this point. Most of my bag issues are because of my idiocy, like getting my neverfull cinch caught on a doorknob. It's still attached but won't cinch. Not a huge issue since I almost never do anyway. My vintage Gucci bags have the flaking lining to various degrees, but I've known that's something they do. I try not to put anything with a silicone case in them for that reason, but not a massive usability issue.

My beef is with WALLETS. Specifically a Z Spoke by Zac Posen wallet and a Kate Spade wallet. The ZSpoke was mine and it was super cute, feminine, giant bow, and a pretty lavender patent. The worst part about the dang thing was that the ID window didn't have a little cutout so it was a fight to get my license out. I would leave it partly sticking out so I wouldn't be at checkout and wrestling with it while holding up the line. Ditto for the KS. That was one my mom bought, liked, but also had the same issue with. It's incredibly annoying if it's a plastic window with no cutout to slide it up. Otherwise it just gets SO STUCK in there.

My small Chanel boy bag for sure. It's a beatiful bag, but not for me at all. The biggest problem is that the chain is so bulky and heavy that it constantly falls off my shoulder. There's also some gapping between the top flap and the body of the bag so sometimes things fall out. The only time I've really used it is in the winter with bulky coats when I know I can wear it crossbody. Even then, though, the chain bothers my neck. I've thought about trying to sell it but after only a few wears the leather was scratched and worn so it's not worth the mark-down for me (it's the black glazed leather version).

Oh well. Definitely a champagne problem.

Michael Kors Metallic Gold Tote. The gold metallic disintegrated after a couple of years. The gold just flaked off and I had hardly used the bag. I tend to stay away from metallic since I had that bad experience but I do love metallic bags. I have had other bags, where the straps cracked and a LV cosmetic case became sticky inside, really it melted it was a hot mess literally.
